Conflict of Interest
editHi, I am The Newspaper. I just wanted to let you know that I recently looked over Opensoftindia and it looks like you have a conflict of interest. Using terms like "we" and "our" in an article, make it sound promotional and the article may not be retained. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me on my talk page. Thanks The Newspaper (talk) 21:45, 6 July 2014 (UTC)

Hi Chandan osi: It seems no one welcomed you to Wikipedia and gave you links to our policies and guidelines. Briefly, there are two problems with Opensoftindia. (I am an administrator, so I can see the deleted page). One is, as you have been told, that it is written from a "we" perspective. This violates the requirement to be encyclopedically neutral. Wikipedia articles should be just the facts, presented in a dry, impersonal manner, because Wikipedia is an encyclopedia. That and the emphasis on what the company can offer clients constitute the "advertising" nature of the page that has caused it to be repeatedly deleted. The version at User:Opensoftindia/sandbox is much better in this respect. The other problem is that none of the versions of the article has any references except the company's own site. This is also a big problem because with the exception of very obviously notable things, such as countries, cities, Nobel Prize winners, and wars - Wikipedia defines notability as having been written about extensively or otherwise noted (for example with awards) by others. There is no evidence of notability in the article; simply existing is not enough for an entry in the encyclopedia, because large and crowdsourced though it is, it is not a directory. There is a good general summary of the requirements for something to have a page on Wikipedia here, with links explaining all the terms used. There is also a specific guideline for articles about companies here. Please read these pages and if you still think Opensoftindia meets the requirements, I suggest you create it in the draft space, here: Draft:Opensourceindia and then submit it for review via Articles for creation, which will mean that it will not be created as a mainspace article until one or more experienced editors determine it meets our requirements. To submit it for review - after adding references to third-party sources demonstrating notability and supporting what is stated in the article - you would add {{subst:submit}} at the top. I hope this information will help. Yngvadottir (talk) 18:03, 8 July 2014 (UTC)
