Fair use rationale for Image:Gradius V screen1.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Gradius V screen1.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. GHOSTS N' GOBLINS edit

The information is just about the game's characters, weapons and levels, about what happens in the game! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 200.255.166.197 (talkcontribs)

  • Hence why I removed it, content of that nature is not suitable for wikipedia (proscribed by WP:NOT) but perhaps for one of its sister projects, such as wikia. Challenger 1983 (talk) 12:37, 24 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Vic Viper edit

You undid the edit I did about the Vic Viper arcade game. The game did not turn into Solar Assault because Vic Viper was a racing game and not a shooter. Check my scan from the November 1995 issue of EGM where it clearly says it's a racing game and that there are other vehicles (second image shows a different vehicle). http://i16.photobucket.com/albums/b41/ReyVGM/forums/vicviper.png

There's no evidence that this game turned into Solar Assault (not even graphically nor did it use the same arcade board). What there's evidence off is that this game existed as a racing game and it got canceled ;) ReyVGM (talk) 22:06, 24 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Fair enough, thanks. Challenger 1983 (talk) 06:17, 25 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Bullet hell edit

Excuse me, but you didn't discuss the "bullet hell" genre in the parent article like you said. Unless if you're willing to do a massive revamp on "shoot 'em up" and incorporate this article into it, please undo your edit. --142.132.6.102 (talk) 21:35, 26 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Ah, it's been removed as part of the recent clean up and mergers. I'll look into it. The Dork Knight 11:52, 27 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
