Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Fiftykina.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Fiftykina.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 19:52, 13 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion of File:Egypt Edfu Temple Interior by Chadwick Meyer.jpg edit

A tag has been placed on File:Egypt Edfu Temple Interior by Chadwick Meyer.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. [1], and it was either uploaded on or after 2005-05-19, or is not used in any articles. If you agree with the deletion, there is no need to do anything. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. ~ JohnnyMrNinja 01:15, 24 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Gutensite edit

A tag has been placed on Gutensite requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for web content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Deletion review is the proper venue for requesting restoration, but please try to discuss the matter with the admin who deleted the article here. I'm tagging the new page you created as a test page. A copy of your comments on the talk page is left below for your reference. Tim Song (talk) 09:12, 7 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

This article about Gutensite should not have been deleted. Gutensite is a commerical Content Management system used by thousands of individuals and organizations. It is not yet as large as some content management systems (e.g. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joomla or http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wordpress) but it is no less worthy or legitimate a subject for a wikipedia article, in fact it is notably unique in many ways. Whatever makes those content management systems appropriate for an article, makes Gutensite appropriate. I don't use wikipedia much, so I don't know all the ins and outs, for example, where can I find the original article that I wrote? And how can we put it back on wikipedia so that the work is not wasted. That's very frustrating. I was not notified that it was being deleted and I don't sign in that often so I missed the "speedy deletion" contesting period. If there is some needed work to improve the article, fine, but it should not be unilaterally deleted.

The Notability Guidelines for Business (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Notability_(organizations_and_companies)) notes, "Large organizations are likely to have more readily available verifiable information from reliable sources that provide evidence of notability; however, smaller organizations can be notable, just as individuals can be notable, and arbitrary standards should not be used to create a bias favoring larger organizations."

Gutensite has been reviewed by various organizations, such as: www.cmscritic.com, www.apr.com, etc.

Greetings, Chadwick. I have restored all versions of the Gutensite article and placed them in your userspace at User:Chadwickmeyer/Gutensite. Please feel free to work on the article and bring it up to the relevant standards of WP:CORP, WP:V and WP:NPOV. Regards,  Skomorokh  13:04, 7 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Numonohi edit

The article Numonohi has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No reliable independent sources found to demonstrate notability.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
