Info about the number of stories in Downfall

I added a short info about the building used in the Downfall, but it was deleted by you. Can you give me any explanation about why it is deleted? Thanx. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 7E (talkcontribs) 06:24, 27 June 2010 (UTC)

  • Hi 7E. I didn't delete the info, but rather moved it into the background section, as it seemed out of place in gameplay. Thanks. — Chad1m Email Talk Cont. 01:23, 28 June 2010 (UTC)

Question about a recent reversion to Downfall (game show)

Hi, Chad1m. I was reviewing some recent edits by 71.130.200.169 (talk · contribs), and I noticed that you had reverted this edit, which they made earlier today. I've seen similar edits on other articles during my recent changes patrolling and usually let them pass by, although I've also had the nagging feeling that, at times, maybe I shouldn't have. So, I was just wondering if you could please help me understand what was wrong with their edit? I realize that my question may sound leading, but that's most definitely not my intent; I am in no way implying that there was anything wrong with your reversion. I'm just trying to understand what seem to me to be some of the subtler aspects of Wikipedia policies and guidelines. Cheers! -- Bgpaulus (talk) 19:03, 23 July 2010 (UTC)

Hi, it was an intent for me to go back and re-work that note into a more useful part of the article when there was a source to go with it. While the fact is true, it didn't have any source to back it up, so it doesn't look factual on the page. — Chad1m Email Talk Cont. 20:32, 23 July 2010 (UTC)
Ah. Got it. Thanks very much for helping me understand! -- Bgpaulus (talk) 20:36, 23 July 2010 (UTC)

License tagging for File:DoubleDareLive.png

Thanks for uploading File:DoubleDareLive.png. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 01:06, 23 May 2012 (UTC)

August 2014

Hello, I'm AldezD. I noticed that you made a change to an article, The Chase (U.S. game show), but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Please review WP:BLOGS before re-adding information to this article that is sourced from a blog. AldezD (talk) 00:38, 22 August 2014 (UTC)

Please do not add or change content, as you did to The Chase (U.S. game show), without verifying it by citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Please stop adding content to this article citing sonofthebronx.blogspot.com as a source. Although the blog features "Source: Nielsen Media Research" in the message, there is no link to a verifiable source from Nielsen. Stating the info comes from Nielsen but not providing a link does not meet WP:V. Also, WP:BLOGS provides additional insight into self-published sources and their acceptability to meet WP:V. Proposed deletion of That's the Question (U.S. game show)

The article That's the Question (U.S. game show) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No indication of notability.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ArbCom elections are now open!

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. File permission problem with File:TNATag.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:TNATag.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Kelly hi! 02:41, 24 November 2015 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Double Dare 90s logo.png

A tag has been placed on File:Double Dare 90s logo.png requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Stefan2 (talk) 16:33, 10 July 2016 (UTC)
