Image copyright problem with Image:Sedlon.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Sedlon.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

Speedy deletion nomination of Mick Gerace edit

A tag has been placed on Mick Gerace requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. ttonyb (talk) 03:18, 18 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

Mick Gerace edit

Thank you for your message.

I deleted the article because its text had been copied and pasted from www.myspace.com/mickgerace. Since this is a violation of copyright law, I'm afraid I cannot restore the article for you.

If you own the copyright to the text and would like to donate it to Wikipedia, please read WP:DCM, which explains how to contribute the text to the encyclopedia. Thank you. — Malik Shabazz Talk/Stalk 04:39, 18 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

We have sent email about image and text to wikipedia and now wating for results, http://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk:Cerw&redirect=no , can you at leat give me the text back to my User page? Where it belonged..

Thanks

I can't restore the text because that would violate copyright law. However, you can see the text at www.myspace.com/mickgerace.— Malik Shabazz Talk/Stalk 21:16, 20 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

You kidding me right, the text belongs to me! We own it i spent over 2 hours making the WikiText the way it is, I am pretty sure you can give it to me at least in User:Cerw space! We have already sent permission email and waiting for reply, please restore the text or somehow give it back to me, I dont want to redo all the links.formating again!

Thanks

I'm sorry, but I can't. If you'd like to appeal my decision, go to WP:Deletion review. — Malik Shabazz Talk/Stalk 03:32, 21 July 2010 (UTC)Reply
What if MediaWIki approved my text then you will give it back to me right? I still dont understand why you can not give me (personaly) publicly accesable text?

Petr
