"At Black Mountain, with the support of a group of professors and students, he began reinventing a project that would make him famous: the geodesic dome. Although the geodesic dome had been created 26 years earlier by Dr. Walther Bauersfeld, Fuller was awarded United States patents, even though he neglected to cite Bauersfeld's prior art in his patent applications. He is credited for popularizing this type of structure. "

I've protected the article for a little while so you can find references, and so you don't get into difficulty for adding unreferenced statements of opinion - you need clear secondary-sourced academic documentation for your assertion, not your interpretation of Fuller's omission and of patent law. The article makes it clear that he was at least dishonest in the patent application, but none of it is referenced, and you would help by providing citations, no matter how you view Fuller's conduct.
