Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that exist to attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policies for further explanations of links that are considered appropriate. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. See the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. What link? Nothing is specified. Then WHY was is inappropriate, I have only added links which directly relate to content on the site. The site is not subscription, it doesn't even require registration!

I have over 500hrs of video & books relating to a mass of topics catagorised clearly, and the only links I have added relate directly to a section displayed on the navigation panel!

So explain what is inappropriate and why it is please.

See my talk page; in the future, it is a good idea to begin discussions on the other user's talkpage and not your own. Veinor (ヴエノル(talk)) 22:48, 26 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did in Occult. It is considered spamming, and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising. Thanks. Veinor (ヴエノル(talk)) 22:50, 26 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

User talk:CCC-Media

So you are saying I am self promoting? But the actual content is relevant as it is sourced from many different areas and pertinent... There is no charge for the service, so I cannot understand what impact it makes. I can understand links to commercial/reg fee sites is a problem, or sites which are irrelivent, but this only supplements the available material. Do you just check the links or do you actually look at the information supplied?

I saw that the link went to a URL that had ccc-media in it. I saw your username was CCC-Media. I put 2 and 2 together and got 4. I realized that linking to your own site is against WP:EL, so I removed the link as spam. Veinor (ヴエノル(talk)) 03:42, 27 November 2006 (UTC)Reply

So..

Yes, but how does that negate the value of the substance on the site being relative. Like I said, the principle I understand to prevent irrelevant material, the application is very spurious.
