Proposed deletion of Synopse, (search engine) edit

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Synopse, (search engine), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

This project seems interesting but non-notable - I did a quick web search and I couldn't find any reliable sources to support the article. The article also seems to have been written by the author of the project, which goes against the conflict of interest guidelines.

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Speedy deletion of Synopse, (search engine) edit

A tag has been placed on Synopse, (search engine) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for web content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Ways to improve Cwmffrwd edit

Hi, I'm Staglit. Cburgdorfer, thanks for creating Cwmffrwd!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. Hi! For future reference, you don't need to add a section if there is no content in it, like Celebrities in Cwmffrwd

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse. Staglit (talk) 17:31, 21 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of This Place edit

A tag has been placed on This Place requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G6 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an orphaned disambiguation page which either

  • disambiguates two or fewer extant Wikipedia pages and whose title ends in "(disambiguation)" (i.e., there is a primary topic); or
  • disambiguates no (zero) extant Wikipedia pages, regardless of its title.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time. Please see the disambiguation page guidelines for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Hi Christoph. Generally we use sentence case rather than title case for disambiguation terms which are not proper names. Thus:
Feel free to start an article about the agency, but until Wikipedia has an article about that, disambiguation is not necessary. Another consideration is whether the art project would still be the WP:primary topic or not. Thanks, wbm1058 (talk) 23:59, 18 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

A tag has been placed on This Place (agency) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. COI edit

Hi Cburgdorfer! I wanted to touch base in case you're not aware of Wikipedia's conflict of interest policy: it's strongly discouraged for editors to create or make changes to pages they have a personal, and particularly a financial, connection with; if you decide to do so anyway, you should (and if you're being paid, you must) leave a note on the talk page indicating your conflict of interest. You can find more information about the policy at WP:COI.

While I'm here I'll also go ahead and mention that I'm going to nominate This Place to Redirects for Discussion, as I see you disagree with my redirect; RfD will allow for a broader community discussion of how policy applies. I'll leave a link so you can join in once I've got that discussion added. In fact RfD does not seem like the appropriate forum so I'm going to leave the entry for another WP:NPR reviewer to address. Meanwhile though, if you have any more secondary sources that establish this company's notability independent of the one product, you could (per COI guidance) mention them on the entry's talk page; that would help clear up the question of whether a standalone entry is warranted. Thanks! All best, Innisfree987 (talk) 16:53, 23 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of This Place (agency) edit

The article This Place (agency) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

no acr=tual evidence for notability -- refs are just PR

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
