Copyrighted images may possibly be ok, depending on how they are used, but I'm far from an expert on that. WP:Teahouse would be able to point you to the answer on them. - UtherSRG (talk) 14:51, 2 February 2023 (UTC)

Hi, you can add your own photographs by uploading them to Commons using the Upload Wizard, but you have to release them under a free licence (Creative Commons) or into the public domain. It is possible to upload someone else's photos, but only if they are similarly licensed. Material licensed with the Creative Commons "NC" clasue (not for commercial use) cannot be used on Commons.
