Welcome edit

Ss112 I understand that IG is not a reliable source especially since I am not Officially Promoting the album for him or the Label. Here's the link to RTK commenting my photo https://www.instagram.com/p/BffQE73FV6i/?taken-by=cassiusclaybeats The official Record Label release date is set for March 30, 2018. Other than the singles already released off the album, the actual official album info/credits have not been released to the public yet. I am aware of cassius jay. He is a music producer. Rich The Kid is actually from NYC, but moved to Woodstock, GA, not ATL, when he was 13. I've been producing music professionally for 10yrs. If you would like some links to verify my work, I'd gladly provide more. You can see that I already have a song currently out on the radio that I produced for RTK. Here's the link to that song: https://soundcloud.com/seangast/sean-gast-ft-rich-the-kid-no-exaggeration There are a few artists related to the music industry that use the "nickname", "cassius" or something with a similar play on the name. Out of respect to the Hard Working musicians, I would appreciate you having more knowledge of the music industry if you claim to supply accurate and factual information for the world. And you keep claiming that you know as a fact that cassius jay is the actual producer of the song in question. Other than the "metadata" that could have been miss-printed or a typo, have you seen any other posts or even cassius jay claiming to have produced the record? Please take down the false information until you have physical proof or a copy of the metadata. I have not been provided any valid, factual, or visible proof that anyone including myself has produced the song yet. Please wait for the official release of the album credits. Thank You. Credits for "The World Is Yours" edit

Hello, Cassius. I've been searching for confirmation that you produced the track "World Is Yours" on the album The World Is Yours, but I can't find any reliable source. On the other hand I can't find any reliable source for Cassius Jay either. Can you help by providing a reliable source? Someone's post on a blog or a fan site wouldn't be a reliable source, as people write all sorts of nonsense in places like that. The editor who uses the pseudonym "JamesBWatson" (talk) 11:53, 20 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

The production credits are not publicly released yet. I can supply my Instagram page where you can see me promoting the album and Rich The Kid "Liking" and "commenting" my photos related to the album, "the world is yours." Let me know if this is enough of a reference, because like I said, the final album credits have not been released yet. Thank you. CassiusClayBeats (talk) 13:44, 20 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

Instagram is no good as a reference, because anyone can post stuff there, so it isn't a reliable source. It is, in fact, no better evidence than just someone coming to Wikipedia and claiming something is true. The editor who uses the pseudonym "JamesBWatson" (talk) 17:21, 20 March 2018 (UTC)Reply
Since you have no factual proof of myself or the other producer actually producing the record can you then take down his name as well until you have an actual reference to prove who the producer is? Thank you
Ss112 says that the producer is credited in the iTunes metadata. I have no access to that, so perhaps you can take it up with him. The editor who uses the pseudonym "JamesBWatson" (talk) 10:24, 21 March 2018 (UTC)Reply
We can't see who liked your posts from an Internet browser. I don't know how your promoting an album by posting about it is proof that you produced a song on it; anybody can post pictures and hype an album, even if they're not connected to its production. If Rich the Kid's actual Instagram commented on one of your posts (and especially if he indicated in said comment that you produced one of his songs), please link to that post—I'd personally like to see it. Cassius Jay is an actual producer (HotNewHipHop article here) from Atlanta (also where Rich the Kid is from), and it seems coincidental that someone with a similar name is coming around and claiming that the song they produced is actually produced by them. Woodstock, Georgia is part of the Atlanta metropolitan area—it's considered part of Atlanta. Don't act like it's on the other side of Georgia. Also, don't act like Cassius Jay hasn't produced anything for Rich the Kid: Do a simple Google search for "Cassius Jay Rich the Kid". He has SoundCloud links too. "Out of respect to the Hard Working musicians, I would appreciate you having more knowledge of the music industry if you claim to supply accurate and factual information for the world." Wikipedia doesn't have a duty to honour amateur musicians who disruptively edit pages and have nothing better to do with their time—as supposedly busy producers interacting with rappers—than check Wikipedia and harass users on there to see if their credit is properly inserted. I'd hardly consider not knowing an Instagram producer with 2,000 followers not having "knowledge of the music industry". Don't oversell yourself. Also, I didn't even add the Cassius Jay credit to the article—gets your facts straight. I didn't think every producer needed to go out of their way to claim they produced a song for an artist. Maybe Cassius Jay just has more important things to do than you? Because honestly if your career or acknowledgement for being a producer relies on getting Wikipedia users to believe from your Instagram iTunes credits have typos, I'd reconsider how you spend your time. Also, keep your comments here, I don't wish to have your paragraph-long blather copypasted on my talk page thanks. Ss112 03:50, 23 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

Hey Ss112 and JamesBWatson . I, Cassius Clay am the producer of "World Is Yours" and I'm also singing the background vocals on the song. https://www.instagram.com/p/Bg7vIdSFdhI/ That is the URL link to the announcement on my Instagram profile and there's a comment from RTK's manager and a "like" from RTK ON the post as well. Please update the credits. Thank you. CassiusClayBeats (talk) 07:41, 30 March 2018 (UTC)Reply
