List of automobiles that were commercial failures up for deletion

edit

Hi,

You have taken part in the AfD process for List of successful automobiles and voted delete. The decision was unanimous and the article was subsequently deleted. Now a corresponding article, List of automobiles that were commercial failures, is up for deletion for the same reasons. It would be only logicial and just to have them both deleted, so I cordially invite you to take part in the new discussion.

Regards, Bravada, talk - 09:10, 8 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Hi

edit

I am writing to inform you, and many others, that an AfD in which you voted delete, List of automobiles that were commercial failures, was already unsucessfully nominated a short time ago, but under a different title. This was not noted in the nomination. Please read the opposing arguments here, and reconsider your vote, because it is important that the opinions of previous voters be considered. Thanks! Doc Chey's improvements

edit

Hi Cassavau,

Thanks for your help with the Doc Chey's page! I added citations and a final paragraph about why Doc Chey's is one to watch in the industry. As I am not a restauranteur (only a fan) I will continue to seek out the industry news and views to improve the page. I have been a fan of the restaurant for several years now and have seen its expansion to North Carolina and beyond, and I strongly feel that the original owner's humanitiarian and holistic approach has driven its success even as it has become a chain.

Larry Walther

edit

Hi,

I have added reasons for not deleting the Larry Walther article in the article's talk page.

Thanks,

Sure thing, I was doing CSD patrol and when reading this article it stressed some importance. Notability is different from importance and I declined your request since it didn't fit under WP:CSD A7. Thanks, Yanksox 21:22, 16 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Thanks so much for my barnstar! Sorry about the reversion races -- I know how annoying those are. Keep up the good work yourself, and let me know if I can help you out on patrol. Thanks again! -- Omicronpersei8 (talk) 05:08, 18 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

speedy tagging

edit

G'day Cassavau,

you tagged Andrew Brockway as a candidate for speedy deletion recently. Your reasoning was, essentially, "candidates for the New York State Legislature fail A7". I'm afraid that's pretty much 100% wrong. Just thought I'd drop you a note, because I have actually deleted the article. In this case, it's because Mr Brockway's article failed AfD recently, and this version is rather similar to the deleted one. We do keep articles about candidates from time-to-time, so they aren't really speediable through A7. Happy editing! fuddlemark (befuddle me!) 09:33, 18 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Questions?

edit

You said "Could you respond to my questions regarding cleanup on the Talk:Model_rocket talk page?" I looked and saw no questions-where are they? Troggulus 23:26, 19 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

At the top of the page- the heading Cleanup. It's moot now. The cleanup has been done and the tag removed. --Cassavau 20:08, 21 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Europe 10,000 Challenge invite

edit

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Europe/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like Germany, Italy, the Benelux countries, Iberian Peninsula, Romania, Slovenia etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. If you would like to see masses of articles being improved for Europe and your specialist country like Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon, sign up today and once the challenge starts a contest can be organized. This is a way we can target every country of Europe, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant and also sign under any country sub challenge on the page that you might contribute to! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 02:45, 6 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

New deal for page patrollers

edit

Hi Cassavau,

In order to better control the quality of new pages, keep out the spam, and welcome the genuine newbies, the current system we introduced in 2011 is being updated and improved. The documentation and tutorials have also been revised and given a facelift. Most importantly a new user group New Page Reviewer has been created.

Under the new rule, you may find that you are temporarily unable to mark new pages as reviewed. However, this is nothing to worry about - most current experienced patrollers are being accorded the the new right without the need to apply, and if you have significant previous experience of patrolling new pages, we strongly encourage you to apply for the new right as soon as possible - we need all the help we can get, and we are now providing a dynamic, supportive environment for your work.

Find out more about this exiting new user right now at New Page Reviewers and be sure to read the new tutorial before applying. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 04:29, 13 November 2016 (UTC)Reply
