Welcome! edit

Hello, Carsonfirestone, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Shalor and I work with the Wiki Education Foundation; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

Hi! Just giving you a general head's up about this article - since it's a controversial topic on Wikipedia, just make sure that your writing is as neutral as possible and that you're using the strongest possible sourcing. If your content is removed, it's important that you discuss this removal on the article's talk page rather than try to re-add the content. I would highly recommend that you look for scholarly sources as opposed to just popular press, as the scholarly sources are more likely to be the strongest possible sources. • What you added doesn't look bad offhand, but just wanted to let you know about this. Shalor (Wiki Ed) (talk) 18:37, 1 November 2018 (UTC)Reply
To chime in to what Shalor added, I removed some of your public reactions section, because the MSD shooting was already covered in the 2018 section. We don't want articles to be repetitive—if the content is already present, there's no need to rehash it. Thanks, Elysia (Wiki Ed) (talk) 15:54, 2 November 2018 (UTC)Reply
