Proposed deletion of Havana Cooler

edit

The article Havana Cooler has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Just a recipe (WP:NOT). No indication of notability (WP:N).

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Oh, I am sorry. I will fix that right now. Capt. Milokan (talk) 21:26, 5 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

Nomination of Havana Cooler for deletion

The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. Kendall-K1 (talk) 23:38, 5 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

Oh, I hope not. I did add some additional sources. Capt. Milokan (talk) 01:32, 6 April 2018 (UTC)Reply

NAC

edit

Please reconsider your WP:NAC here and leave it for someone with more experience in evaluationg these things. Almost all of the !votes are SPAs and newly registered accounts not making policy based arguments. Additionally this still has a full hour left on it and this has several, so you need to revert your close.Praxidicae (talk) 17:32, 29 April 2019 (UTC)Reply

I've undone your Perry Stone closure given there are several hours left until it should be closed (and honestly it should be relisted.) Praxidicae (talk) 17:47, 29 April 2019 (UTC)Reply
The AfD opened on April 14 and was relisted twice, with no one calling for its deletion except the person who put it up for deletion. Closing it one hour early doesn't strike me as being catastrophic, but then again I only look at this as a relaxing hobby and not an obsession. If you feel that a third relisting can get the result you want, your actions have my blessing. Capt. Milokan (talk) 22:41, 29 April 2019 (UTC)Reply

Closure overturned

edit

Hi Capt. Milokan, thanks for your contributions. I'm glad you're getting involved with the administrative aspects of Wikipedia; we appreciate all the help we can get in the WikiGnome-y areas. I wanted to let you know I am overturning your closure of Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Elise Matthesen in my capacity as an uninvolved administrator for two reasons: First, the closure was over one full hour before the scheduled close. Second, and more importantly, I am concerned that you aren't experienced enough around here to have a strong knowledge of policy, process, and subject matter (see WP:NAC). Please let me know if you have any questions. Best, Kevin (aka L235 · t · c) 17:55, 29 April 2019 (UTC)Reply

I have also overturned the closure at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/TG Mohandas in accordance with WP:BADNAC, points 2 and 3. The result here could easily have been a relist or a no-consensus close based on the number of SPAs !voting in the AfD. Best, Kevin (aka L235 · t · c) 18:02, 29 April 2019 (UTC)Reply
I didn't realize that closing an AfD one hour early, especially when it was obvious that no one wanted it deleted, was such a bad thing. But, as I mentioned to the person who commented earlier, I view this as a relaxing hobby and not an obsession, so you are welcome to do whatever you feel makes the website work better. Capt. Milokan (talk) 22:44, 29 April 2019 (UTC)Reply

Civility

edit

Hello,

Your comments at this AfD !vote constitute a personal attack. Please make sure to keep your cool when participating in debates on Wikipedia. ST47 (talk) 02:15, 4 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

Please lead by example and keep your cool when lecturing people on their own pages. There is no "personal attack," as no person was specifically identified by name in order to be maligned. I am discussing an editorial deletion decision that I considered to be seriously erroneous. Capt. Milokan (talk) 17:19, 5 May 2019 (UTC)Reply
