SpongeGar Redirect

edit

@Capcapandgengen: Maybe we should just create a disambiguation page for SpongeGar/ Primitive Sponge. I've honestly never heard the meme referred to as "Primitive Sponge," other than the KnowYourMeme page, andd they use both (in addition to "Caveman Spongebob"). -- Gestrid (talk) 21:22, 12 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

@Gestrid: I understand the reasoning behind creating a disambiguation page, but I'm not sure it would work since there are no individual pages for the characters of SpongeGar and/or Primitive Sponge themselves. It should be noted that the SB-129 character (the one used in the meme) is referred to as Primitive Sponge by a New York magazine article, one from the Daily Dot and one from BuzzFeed, so it's not just Know Your Meme and the SB Wiki that acknowledge this name - the New York and Daily Dot articles explain the differences between Primitive Sponge and SpongeGar, clarifying that PS is from "SB-129" and SpongeGar is from "Ugh," so I still think we should keep the redirects as they are to avoid confusion. After all, once the meme's popularity wanes, the redirects would be most useful to those looking for the specific characters' episodes. Capcapandgengen (talk) 21:40, 12 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

Dat Boi

edit

It should be okay if you follow the lead of other meme images used on Wikipedia, like File:Original Doge meme.jpg - specifically using a version of the image that's a much lower-resolution copy. --McGeddon (talk) 07:48, 17 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

Just to let you know, editor Capcapandgengen, Viacom is now a disambiguation page. So when you link to the company, the way you did at List of Winx Club episodes, please use:

[[Viacom (2005–2019)|Viacom]]

See more about linking at the help page and the project page. Thank you for your edits and for your support in this! P.I. Ellsworth  ed. put'r there 13:10, 29 June 2020 (UTC)Reply
