Speedy deletion nomination of Pelicans FC

A tag has been placed on Pelicans FC requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. As an amateur club in a local league, Pelicans FC simply does not meet our notability requirements. It is highly unlikely that anything you write will overcome that fact. Unless you can show through references to independent, reliable sources which indicates how this team is notable, I'n afraid you're out of luck. As for your assertion that other teams of similar stature have their own articles, it is probable that they play in higher-level organizations, or somehow achieved fame through some singular act or event. The existence of articles about other apparently-similar subjects does not justify the existence of any particular article. - Realkyhick (Talk to me) 02:35, 26 January 2010 (UTC)
