Speedy deletion of Jason Rosette edit

A tag has been placed on Jason Rosette requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the article or have a copy emailed to you. Your account has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia, because it has been identified as an account used for promotion of a company or group, with a username that implies that this has been done by that company or group. See Wikipedia:FAQ/Organization and Wikipedia:Conflict of interest.

This kind of activity is considered spamming and forbidden by policies, and also violates our username policy.

However, if you feel that there has been a mistake in your blocking, please appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|your reason here}} below or email the administrator who blocked you. Your reason should include your response to this issue and a new username you wish to adopt that does not violate our username policy (specifically, understand that accounts are for individuals, not companies or groups, and that your username should reflect this). Please check that your new username has not already been taken by checking this list.

Request reason:

reason cited is that user name indicates spamming and use by a company on Jason Rosette's behalf; yet the user name is "camerado", not Jason Rosette. We are actually associated with Camerado High School and are unaware of any other affiliation. Finally, it's our understanding that Jason Rosette is a bona fide filmmaker, please see Internet Movie Database at http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0742891/.

Decline reason:

I don't believe you aren't associated with camerado dot com, you've posted several links to it and have described at least one of your edits as being "from the producers at Camerado." Jason Rosette's article may or may not be appropriate; FisherQueen has laid out some of what is needed for that article to be accepted... but regardless, you cannot be unblocked until you carefully read Wikipedia:Conflict of interest and agree to abide by those restrictions, and also agree to change your username. If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

I accept your claim that you should be unblocked, even though you ignored warnings, because Jason Rosette is in fact a notable person. In order to support your claim, you will need what your article lacked: Two or three reliable, independent sources which discuss him and his importance in film in enough detail to verify the information in the article. IMDB doesn't count as it is, like Wikipedia, user-generated. What you need are several articles about him in newspapers, magazines, or significant online sources. Since you're blocked, you can post your verifying sources here on your talk page. -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 01:04, 10 April 2009 (UTC)Reply
