The picture that was posted here was not Jimmy Boyd "I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus" "Inherit The Wind". It was Jim Boyd from the Electric Company Jimmy Boyd does not have red hair or blonde hair, he has strawberry blond hair. Actually golden in color. Today mixed with a little grey. I would post a 2006 photo of him and his son, if I could figure out how to do it.

License tagging for Image:00000246.JPG edit

Thanks for uploading Image:00000246.JPG. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 10:05, 17 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Image copyright problem with Image:Boyd j4.jpg edit

Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Boyd j4.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 23:49, 1 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Image source problem with Image:Jimmy Boyd j4.jpg edit

Image Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading Image:Jimmy Boyd j4.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 23:33, 2 March 2008 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Genisock2 (talk) 23:33, 2 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Possibly unfree Image:Jimmy Boyd Rosemary Clooney Frankie Laine Patti Page 1953 .jpg edit

An image that you uploaded or altered, Image:Jimmy Boyd Rosemary Clooney Frankie Laine Patti Page 1953 .jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Possibly unfree images because its copyright status is disputed. If the image's copyright status cannot be verified, it may be deleted. You may find more information on the image description page. You are welcome to add comments to its entry at the discussion if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. Fullstop (talk) 23:22, 13 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Following your comment at Wikipedia:Possibly unfree images/2008 May 13‎, I've withdrawn my objection to the GFDL tag.
However, the image in question is (to me) obviously a derived work, so you ought to upload the individual images that you used to make that collage, and {{GFDL-self}} those. I encourage you to place a descriptive caption and source information (such as when and how it was taken) onto the Image description page in addition to the image copyright tag. In the derived work you should note that it is a derived work of the other images.
On the side... the smaller elements in your collage will not be noticeable in a scaled-down version, so I suggest you stick with the originals. This will also be a more authentic record, and adding the other images lower down on the Jimmy Boyd page will contribute to page's overall aesthetic as well.
Finally... thank you for your contributions. Please let me know if I can be of assistance. Happy editing! :) -- Fullstop (talk) 18:17, 15 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Reference to: Jimmy Boyd, Rosemary Clooney, Frankie Laine, Patti Page. This collage was made by my daughter who is about the same age as Jimmy, put into a scrap book with others and given as a gift to him years ago. The originals have been lost over the years. They were publicity stills. As is the Jimmy and Perry Como photo. The recent photo of Jimmy in Spain was given to her by Jimmy for the Wikipedia article. She still is an expert on Jimmy Boyd as are her kids. Would u be so kind as to post the photos on the Jimmy Boyd article. Thank You.(----) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Camaflage (talkcontribs) 19:06, 15 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
Ok. You ought to note these details in the image itself.
As for posting the photos on the Jimmy Boyd article,... which pictures would you like me to put there?

ps: please add talk comments at the end of a page (use the "new section" 'tab' next to "edit this page"). Also, please sign your edits with four tildes. Like so: ~~~~. Thanks.
pps: you can continue this discussion here. That way the conversation doesn't get split into two.
Sorry I went to your page and answered before I read the full instructions..Please post all three images. Thank you.---- — Preceding unsigned comment added by Camaflage (talkcontribs) 23:18, 13 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
As I had suggested before, please add an explanation of your relationship with Jimmy at the images you uploaded. Please do this *NOW* (and don't forget to log in when you do).
I have asked for a temporary stay on your behalf for the one deleted image, and you need to clarify your claim to copyright ASAP. -- Fullstop (talk) 01:02, 16 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
ps: And *please* sign with four tildes, not hyphens.

Why was my Camaflage account deleted? I can't sign in with this user name any more. My user name and password used to come up automatically when I logged in. It has dissappeared.207.47.88.53 (talk) 04:27, 16 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

After a few more tries..my user name and password came up????Camaflage (talk) 04:34, 16 May 2008 (UTC) I have posted the info on the images..Apparently the collage has been deleted..lighten up guys the photos were taken almost 60 years ago..who really cares? Jimmy and I are probably the only two left alive who were around at the time.Camaflage (talk) 05:40, 16 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Given that you represent Jimmy, it may be best if you follow the instructions at photo submission. -- Fullstop (talk) 15:55, 18 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Image permission problem with Image:Jimmy and Perry Como 1954 .jpg edit

Image Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading Image:Jimmy and Perry Como 1954 .jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the image (or other media file) agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the GFDL or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the image to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the image has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the image's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Images lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Skier Dude (talk) 04:31, 18 April 2009 (UTC)Reply
