Joseph Sobran edit

While you accuse me of vandalism, I am afraid that you are the one inserting POV language into the article. Please discuss any controversial edits on the article's talk page. Cheers, Dick Clark 21:50, 15 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Be civil edit

Please avoid making personal attacks. Cvility is a requirement, not an option. Cheers, -Will Beback 04:16, 17 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Personal attacks edit

The following edit summary was associated with your last edit to the Lew Rockwell article:

LET OFF IT DICK...JUST CUZ YOU THINK ITS OKAY TO BE A NAZI/RACIST/ANTI-SEMITE DOESNT MEAN THOSE BELIEFS ARNT CLEAAARLY CONTROVRSIAL

Please do not attribute beliefs to me that are not true. Just so you know, the Mises Institute is named after an Austrian Jew, was co-founded by Murray Rothbard who was himself Jewish, and has never published any anti-semitic text. "Antisemitism" ought not include protest against the policies of the government of Israel anymore than "terrorism" should include protest against the government of the United States. Mises actually fled the Nazis, hence his arrival in the US during the rise of the Third Reich. Also, I am certainly not racist. Please do not attribute these qualities to me just because I don't believe they should be thrown around lightly. Most importantly, your additions do not comply with Wikipedia policy. Please refer to WP:V, WP:N, WP:NPA, and WP:NPOV. Dick Clark 14:29, 17 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Please see Wikipedia's no personal attacks policy: There is no excuse for personal attacks on other contributors. Do not make them. Comment on content, not on the contributor; personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Note that you may be blocked for disruption. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. Thanks,

DJac75

May I echo the comments regarding civility of my fellow editors, Dick Clark, DJac75, and Will Beback above, please? Best wishes, Walter Siegmund (talk) 20:00, 21 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Another personal attack edit

(The below is copied here from User talk:DickClarkMises)

I'm done prattling around. It's clear that DJac is an anti-semite and you are an apologist for them. You should be ashamed of what you are. It's sick that you're even able to edit these Wikipedia boards. Grow up and realize that we're all one people. Stop singling out minority groups and using them for target practice. ~ User:CaliforniaDreamlings 16:04, 21 March 2006
I would again remind the user that Wikipedia has a clear policy forbidding personal attacks. (I couldn't resist responding to the above in a humorous fashion on my talk page, so interested parties can read on here: [1]) Dick Clark 22:19, 21 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

Your motives edit

Are you interested in writing an encyclopedia or propaganda? If you are interested in writing an encyclopedia, I suggest that you adhere to Wikipedia policy. I am very concerned about your apparent disinterest in community concensus, and I will take the step of filing a Request for Comment if you do not begin to cooperate, to act civilly towards other editors, and to generally follow Wikipedia policies. Please, let's work within the policies so we can actual get something accomplished! Cheers, Dick Clark 22:55, 22 March 2006 (UTC)Reply

response edit

Er...I'm not aware that I have to prove that I'm not anti-Semitic or prove I'm not anything else. My work speaks for itself. Ordinarily, that would be an end to the discussion, but in the hope that there is 5% of you that is non-ideologized and honestly wants an answer, here it is: Prior to the edit war re. Sobran, few of my columns concerned Jews in any way shape or form. But one would suppose that the edits I've made on such people as Bob Dylan, Nathaniel Branden, Barbara Branden, Meyer Lansky, as well as the one I created on Gershon Legman would just drip with anti-Semitism, but somehow I never heard any complaints until recently.

As far as the second question goes, I do not dislike Jewish culture in particular. I dislike Zionism, but that's another matter. As for Jewish ideals, if you want to talk about anti-Semitism, I can't think of anything more racist than claiming that all Jews have the same "ideals."St. Jimmy 04:37, 18 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Neo-nazi edits edit

Please do not add nonsense to Wikipedia. It is considered vandalism. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you. Tijuana Brass 07:00, 18 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

Tiajuana Brass, as I said on your talk page, please assume good faith on the part of all editors and do make hasty accusations. Thank you! CaliforniaDreamlings 07:29, 18 April 2006 (UTC)CaliforniaDreamlingsReply

Hmm, think I'm gonna take my hands off this one; it's an edit war that I don't care to be a part of. In any case, if there was an error, please accept my apology — typically, when I see an article history with such a large number of reverts and an edit summary that reads "SOBRANS A BIGGOT...DONT FORGET IT", it's vandalism. Hope that y'all can work it out. Tijuana Brass 07:33, 18 April 2006 (UTC)Reply

I understand what you're saying but it just really pisses the hell out me that this guy perverts Christianity for racist uses. He's basically argueing that Jews, blacks, and Asians, are sub-groups in America that are ruining the country. And his involvement in Holocaust-dening organizations and suggestions that "something needs to be done about insiduous minority pests" just really sets me off. And I'm just a person whose damn pissed off by that BS. CaliforniaDreamlings 07:37, 18 April 2006 (UTC)CaliforniaDreamlingsReply

I hear that — maybe you could jump in on the Fred Phelps article as well, as long as we're talking about bigoted "Christians." Have you considered RfCing the article? Tijuana Brass 07:40, 18 April 2006 (UTC)Reply
Cali--since you put quotes around that, do you mind citing where it came from? St. Jimmy 07:47, 18 April 2006 (UTC)Reply
