Hello CaffeineCyclist. I am Amadscientist and a member of Project editor retention. I am disheartened to hear that you have decided to leave the project over the treatment you feel you have endured recently. While the chances are you won't see this message if you have already left, I wanted to extend a helping hand to you and ask if it is possible that you may return after a small period of time away to cool down. I can see you are upset. I have noticed over the years, working on Wikipedia, that some editors do not treat others in the best possible way. But, you are not alone. There are venues where you can ask for assistance for disputes and even a board to request comment on the behavior of editors that may have crossed the line. See Wikipedia:Requests for comment/User conduct. We also have venues for content disputes. See Wikipedia: Dispute resolution Noticeboard and for issues involving reliable sources that may be in question. See Wikipedia:Reliable Sources Noticeboard. These are just a few of the locations to ask for assistance in difficult situations. There is also the editor retention project I mentioned and more importantly, the Wikipedia:Teahouse where you can develop community relationships. I hope you will return and see that Wikipedia can be a wonderful place. Everyone deserves respect and I am very sorry you feel you have not recieved enough of it.

Thanks and I hope you return to happy editing!--Amadscientist (talk) 22:39, 19 December 2012 (UTC)Reply
