License tagging for Image:Christine Baranski.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Christine Baranski.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 19:07, 5 February 2007 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Jennifer-storm.jpg edit

A tag has been placed on File:Jennifer-storm.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a non-free image with a clearly invalid licensing tag; or it otherwise fails some part of the non-free content criteria.

If you can find a valid tag that expresses why the image can be used under the fair use guidelines, please replace the current tag with that tag. If no such tag exists, please add the {{non-free fair use in|article name that the image is used in}} tag, along with a brief explanation of why this constitutes fair use of the image. If the image has been deleted, you can re-upload it, but please ensure you place the correct tag on it.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. File copyright problem with File:Jennifer Storm Booksigning.JPG edit

Thank you for uploading File:Jennifer Storm Booksigning.JPG. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Image Screening Bot (talk) 18:37, 16 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Blackout Girl edit

I think you should add some of the references from her own website, by finding print or online versions of them. she seems notable enough that her books should be here. I think WP is somewhat obsessive about finding multiple third party references for books. i know we need something to show notability, but the book requirements are hard to locate, as books are not as well documented on the internet as movies and music. literacy is suffering the death of a thousand tweets. fortuitous event: having this up for deletion means it came to my attention, and i read these books extensively, and will likely seek it out. oh, and if people do delete it, just add the material to the article on the author, thats relatively noncontroversial. over time, the books can be broken out as we get refs. good luck, ill try to help to (its not like im being paid for this you know).Mercurywoodrose (talk) 06:40, 17 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free image File:Blackout Girl.gif edit

Thanks for uploading File:Blackout Girl.gif. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

PLEASE NOTE:

  • I am a bot, and will therefore not be able to answer your questions.
  • I will remove the request for deletion if the file is used in an article once again.
  • If you receive this notice after the image is deleted, and you want to restore the image, click here to file an un-delete request.

Speedy deletion nomination of Sean shepherd edit

Hello Cabrown224,

Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username Hughesdarren, and I thank you for your contributions.

I wanted to let you know, however, that I have tagged an article that you started, Sean shepherd, for deletion, because there's already a page about that topic at Sean Shepherd. Please don't be discouraged; we appreciate your effort in creating new articles. To avoid this in the future, consider using the search function to find pages that already cover what you want to write about.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top. If the page is already deleted by the time you come across this message and you wish to retrieve the deleted material, please contact the deleting administrator.

For any further query, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Hughesdarren}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!

I have sent you a note about a page you started edit

Hello, Cabrown224

Thank you for creating Sean Shepherd.

User:Hughesdarren, while examining this page as a part of our page curation process, had the following comments:

Nice job on this article, I added some categories etc... Could you please check my work? I also tagged the duplicate article for deletion. Should you ever make a mistake in an article title again you can move the article. See where the edit tab is for any article up? Right next to it is a more tab if you click that then select move and follow the prompts. Cheers and best regards.

To reply, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Hughesdarren}}. Please remember to sign your reply with ~~~~ .
