License tagging for Image:Chingwangcourt.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Chingwangcourt.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

say hi from c_o edit

Pleased to meet you C_o. Yes, I'm from Hong Kong too. You might also be interested in Wikipedia:HK wikipedians' notice board. It is nice to see you contribute many pictures and so exciting you are interested in Hong Kong-related topics. You might consider upload pictures to commons: which will automatically share among all languages of wikipedias. You ought to add your picture license {{PD-self}}, {{GFDL}} and/or {{self|cc-by-sa-2.5}} if you want to share your pictures here. We usually sign our names with four tildes like this ~~~~ at the end of our messages. If you want some helps about the wikipedia, you might jot a message to my talk page. Hopefully we could contribute more one the topics. ^_^

Only those pictures in commons: (click and create an account there) will share among all wikipedias. If you upload them to zh:, en or zh-yue: only, they are simply not shared. So, I encourge you to upload to commons instead of individual wikipedia. ^^. — HenryLi (Talk) 04:14, 17 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Your Yahoo fantasy football and TeamTalk forum screenshots edit

Hello C_o, in case you were wondering, I'm also from Hong Kong =P. However, those screenshots you uploaded([1] and [2]) cannot be listed as self-public domain, I'm sure you didn't create them, you just took a screenshot of it... HenryLi meant that photos you took could can be listed as public domain, but not screenshots. I'm not sure if screenshots are fair use images or copyright violations, you better ask an administrator for help! (I am not too familiar with licencing tags). Orphaned fair use image (Image:Teamtalk cap.jpg) edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Teamtalk cap.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Proposed deletion of File:Kcr mongkok station.jpg edit

The file File:Kcr mongkok station.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Low-quality photo of station where many superior alternatives exist.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
