Chrysler TC

It is topless, but does not misfire!

Who's Mister "Lurs"? Dyno Tested (talk) 22:25, 29 December 2020 (UTC)

Sorry about the typo in the comment box explaining the edits that I made. The author of the cited article is Bob Lutz, not "Lurz! He described the development of the Chrysler TC by Maserati as a misadventure by the company - not that it was a misfire. Although the model failed to achieve the desired result to stimulate sales or affect the market perception among consumers, a misfire can also mean the failure of the engine to ignite properly. That is why I also added the quotes around the word in the article because "misadventure" was exactly used by Mr. Lutz. Thanks for noticing! CZmarlin (talk) 20:38, 24 January 2021 (UTC)

Hyphens after -ly adverb

Please be aware of Wikipedia's Manual of Style for hyphens, which says "Avoid using a hyphen after a standard -ly adverb (a newly available home, a wholly owned subsidiary) ...". In particular, in the article General Motors. Happy editing! Chris the speller yack 15:06, 31 December 2020 (UTC)

Thank you for pointing out the WP style guideline. There are many rules to follow for editing different types of writing that I do. Cheers! CZmarlin (talk) 20:38, 24 January 2021 (UTC)

Use of your picture 1964 Rambler Classic 770 wagon-green

A replica "RV Rambler IV"!

Intend using it in a video as to why I am naming my RV Rambler IV. Original family Rambler was a car like this which my parents took to the UK in the mid 1960s. I don't have a photo of it so am using yours. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Scope1234 (talkcontribs) 13:33, 18 January 2021 (UTC)

I am very happy that this picture replicates your family car in the UK! That is great and have fun making the video! However, I am not sure how you are going to make a still photograph move in a video! Best wishes - CZmarlin (talk) 20:38, 24 January 2021 (UTC)

Usage of your Jeep Cherokee picture

SJ 2-door

Hello, there; thanks for granting the rights to your picture of a Jeep Cherokee to the public domain. I used it in an article about a possible name change. You can find it here:

Link to the "Cherokee-Häuptling zu Autobauer Jeep: Zeit, den Namen zu ändern" article publushed at www.wort.lu

I credited you with your full name.

Greetings from Luxemburg,

Tom — Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.141.177.170 (talk) 08:58, 23 February 2021 (UTC)

Hello Tom, Thank you for using a photograph that I had taken some time ago. This was a nice and simple Jeep. Of course, the name has now become controversial. There was even a top-of-the-line SJ version of the Cherokee called the "Chief". This would not be possible now.
BTW: I enjoyed a short visit to Luxemburg a few years ago! CZmarlin (talk) 02:49, 21 May 2021 (UTC)

Hello Christopher,

thanks a lot for offering your pictures for free use on Wikipedia. I´ve published three of them on the Facebook-page of oldtimer.de today. Your contribution helped us to illustrate our article.

Here´s the link: https://www.facebook.com/oldtimerversicherer/posts/2837549686509051

kind regards

Georg (www.kludsky.com)

Hello Georg, I appreciate the use of the picture. Keep up the good work. Your website is outstanding and demonstrates professionalism. On the other hand, my images are just "point-and-shoot" and now only using a trusty iPhone! Thank you for even noticing my ammateur uploads of cars. CZmarlin (talk) 16:48, 9 July 2022 (UTC)

Volaré recalls

Why did you take this section out? Dyno Tested (talk) 01:12, 10 May 2021 (UTC)

Please read the entire article after the edits and corrections. The section on recalls is there. I just moved it down from the first section. This follows all other automobile articles in that the cars are described first and then the information provided about recalls, safety, etc. No matter how many problems these cars may have had, putting a whole section of recalls before even reviewing their development and production makes it rather strange. Cheers - CZmarlin (talk) 01:36, 10 May 2021 (UTC)

Oh I see, in International Markets; do you really think that's an appropriate place for that information? Dyno Tested (talk) 01:47, 10 May 2021 (UTC)

Thank you Dyno Tested for the correction. After making the changes to the article, I was in a bit of a rush to submit my edits and miscounted the number of "=" in the section header syntax! That is why it ended up as a sub-section under International Markets. I meant the Recalls to be a stand-alone discussion.
I think the Dodge Aspen/Plymouth Volare article now makes more sense when the recall section follows the background, development, and production of the cars as well as just before their successor cars that are mentioned at the end.
Take care and keep on editing! CZmarlin (talk) 18:04, 10 May 2021 (UTC)

KPS Capital Talk page request

Hi. I recently made an edit request on the KPS Capital talk page. I'm a declared COI editor and noticed that you've edited the KPS Capital Partners article in the past. I was hoping you might be able to look at the requests I've made at this time and get involved. Thanks so much! Morganprosek (talk) 15:03, 11 May 2021 (UTC)

Hi Morganprosek, The article about KPS Capital is not in my scope of experience. I think that I did some edits because of vandalism or excessive puffery. Will see if I can provide some contribution. CZmarlin (talk) 02:49, 21 May 2021 (UTC)
Thanks for any contribution that you can provide on the KPS Capital Partners page. I appreciate it! Morganprosek (talk) 12:26, 25 May 2021 (UTC)

I want to use your photo in a book about electric vehicles I am writing, in Spanish.

Hello Jorge,
Please go ahead and use the pictures in your book!
There are several images that are my work and all I request is a photo credit for them.
All the best on your project! CZmarlin (talk) 02:49, 21 May 2021 (UTC)

Color

Is that the factory color and if so what letter on the door tag? If the letter is N(diamond blue) that is exactly how my car came out wheels and all and it would be so cool to see, as my car is now green with 5 spoke wheels but I like all original

Thank you — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.64.16.178 (talk) 01:45, 7 July 2021

Hello, I am not sure which photograph of a blue car you are asking about. I have uploaded hundreds of car pictures and many of them are finished in blue! Moreover, not only did American Motors (AMC) offered a "Diamond Blue Metallic" exterior, but also Ford and Chrysler as well as Porsche had identically named paints. Enjoy your classic car! Purple Color Code - 1972 Javelin

1972 AMC Javelin

What is the color code for the beautiful 1972 purple Javelin with the white C Stripe you have pictured. Thank you. JavelinSST71 (talk) 13:46, 26 September 2021 (UTC)

Hello JavelinSST!
I am glad to know that you are interested in AMC Javelins, and the SST models in particular, as evidenced by your signature!
The car in the picture was at the 2014 American Motors Owners (AMO) convention in North Charleston, North Carolina. It is finished in AMC's "Wild Plum" (paint code D9) metallic that was available only on Javelins, Hornets, and Gremlins (when equipped with the X package). This was a new exterior color for the 1972 model year cars. There is a brochure page with the 1972 colors here. The Planet Houston AMX website has a vintage Martin Senour listing with their color codes that may help you here. I have heard that some of the tints are no longer available in the new paint formulas. Hope you can find a good source.
Enjoy your Javelin and keep on AMCing! CZmarlin (talk) 14:58, 26 September 2021 (UTC)

Just posted photo on Twitter (things from the past). Included photo credit for Christopher Ziemnowicz — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.95.160.230 (talk) 19:10, 23 October 2021 (UTC)

Much appreciated that you let me know that the picture illustrates something from the past. I have uploaded hundreds of mostly car-related images to Commons so I am not sure which you found interesting. Thanks, CZmarlin (talk) 16:48, 9 July 2022 (UTC)
