St. Catharines pages et. al

edit

It sounds like you have a lot to contribute to the Niagara pages. Feel free to add whatever you like and if you have any questions or concerns just post it on my talk page as you had done earlier. I'd be happy to help you. Your current Talk page is full of crap though, you should delete whatever you don't need on this page. Good luck! Trappy 23:38, 25 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Re: Panfocus, thanks!

edit

That's basically what I'd been reading. I just thought that the article shouldn't be removed, unless there was another article about the technique that could be redirected to from the panfocus page. I wouldn't have found anything searching without the Wikipedia article existing. Since it helped me find the information I was after, I thought it worth at least asking for reconsideration prior to removal. Thanks again for all the info! opello 04:57, 8 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

UCM.png

edit

Sorry I'm finding your message re:UCM.png only today. The map is labelled according to the Communauté métropolitaine de Montréal (CMM) website. It shows the extent of the CMM territory. The CMM is a full fledged political entity and not just a planning agency like Greater Toronto.

Southern and northern ring is the name the CMM uses in English. In French they call the southern ring as "couronne sud" and the northern ring as "couronne nord". The reason why they distinguish Longueuil from the southern ring is because they probably meant to distinguish the three merged big municipalities (Montréal, Laval and Longueuil) from the rest of the CMM. Longueuil is now a big city since its 2002 merger. You can see a map in French here. Again, "southern ring" and "northern ring" is their translation, not mine. Quebec nation issue

edit

Hi! I've noticed you have added to the discussion on Talk:Quebec and, in response to the discussion regarding whether or not Quebec is a nation, I have replied with this. I would like you to read the discussion on the Talk:Quebec page, then read my response and leave your comments on it's talk page! Thanks for your input. Andrew647 02:11, 5 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

AIV report

edit

Hey CWP! Thanks for making a report on a vandal. I just wanted to let you know that I re-formatted your entry so it would show up properly on the report, here is the change I made. The next time you make a report, go ahead and format it in that configuration. Let me know if you have any questions. Dreadstar 05:30, 14 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Re: Quebec Nationhood

edit

Lol, don't let it bother you too much. I'm not as educated and knowledgeable in politics as perhaps you and others reviewing the page are. However, when reading the first few lines, I couldn't have been more surprised. I thought this article was about the province of Quebec, not a so called "nation". I'll leave it to you and others to decide the outcome of that. Cristo39 (talk) 21:12, 5 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

The problem with Wikipedia is that anyone with a lack of diplomacy can undo your changes and bias the article, as is the case with the one on Quebec... This personally gives me little incentive to "fight" for the correct solution. The moderator didn't help any... he/she must have blindly closed his/her eyes and picked an alternative with minimal thought.

I already mentioned the books to my girlfriend, she should appreciate appreciate them. As for me, I am not of Greek ancestry at all. Ironically, I'm French Canadian with an English education. Cristo is simply the nickname of Montreal Canadiens' Cristobal Huet, and 39 is his jersey number. Cristo39 (talk) 12:06, 8 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
