This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in post-1932 politics of the United States and closely related people. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Hello, I'm Doug Weller. I noticed that you made a comment on the page WP:TEA#Trump Derangement Syndrome wiki page that didn't seem very civil, so it may have been removed. Wikipedia is built on collaboration, so it's one of our core principles to interact with one another in a polite and respectful manner. If you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Doug Weller talk 14:23, 4 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

Please refrain from using talk pages such as Talk:Trump derangement syndrome for general discussion of the topic or other unrelated topics. They are for discussion related to improving the article in specific ways, based on reliable sources and the project policies and guidelines; they are not for use as a forum or chat room. If you have specific questions about certain topics, consider visiting our reference desk and asking them there instead of on article talk pages. See here for more information. This refers to your post on the CNN journalist. Doug Weller talk 14:28, 4 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hi Doug, how about the comments I received back from individuals on: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:TEA#Trump_Derangement_Syndrome_wiki_page? Will they also be contacted in this manner? What was replied to me did not seem very civil either but if they are not contacted as well then your being selective in who you choose to chide on the topic which would be very unfair. I genuinely am concerned about the topic and TDS page from a logical standpoint. The same standards should be applied all around, and not to people who’s opinions are not liked. I genuinely am attempting to contribute as I just join within the past couple of days. CThomasFox (talk) 18:19, 4 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
