Be a WikiFairy or a WikiGnome
    Help contribute to articles

    Perform maintenance tasks
Become a member of a project that interests you
    Help design new templates

The best way to learn about something is to experience it. Explore, learn, contribute, and don't forget to have some fun!
To get some practice editing you can use a sandbox. You can create your own private sandbox for use any time. Perfect for working on bigger projects. Then for easy access in the future, you can put {{My sandbox}} on your userpage.

June 2012 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I noticed that your username (Interteq) may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because [1]. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may ask for a change of username, or you may simply create a new account to use for editing. Thank you. Mlpearc (powwow) 05:27, 6 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

Concerns about your user name edit

About your username, it is against Wikipedia policy for a username to represent a company or a group. The relvent policy can be found here: Company/group names, As you state on your userpage [2] INTERTEQ is a company or group with a commercial website, which you seem to be closely related to or are promoting. Also Usernames should not infer multiple users as the account of the company or group does, that revelant policy is here: Sharing accounts. There is a remedy for these issues, you can request to change your username here: Wikipedia:Changing username but, be sure the new name you chose is not already taken, this can be checked here: Special:ListUsers.

Concerns about your user name -- response edit

INTERTEQ® is actually a federally registered trade mark for my company goitic.com, which I commonly use as a login etc to websites. But, I see your point that it could violate the promotional clause of the user name policy. My apologies for that and I am going to submit a change request for the username. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.164.247.11 (talk) 14:34, 7 June 2012 (UTC)Reply
