Hi CBooch10. Thanks for leaving a message on my talk page. The addition of many links to a single website as a user's only real edits is commonly associated with promotion. I am sorry that I misinterpreted in this case.
While promotion is a quick reason for reverting I also did not think the links really fit our guidelines as you added them. Wikipedia is not intended to be a repository of external links. We're not trying to be a portal to lots of resources, we're trying to reflect the significant, respected points of view about a subject as free (as in speech) content.
Most of the pieces you linked seemed to be very editorial - that is they were written by someone with a distinct point of view - it was not clear to me given the fact the articles were from a firm that gets paid to undertake this type of work how the links fit in with our neutrality policy. Which isn't to say they definitely don't - just that there are lots of firms in this field and these articles did not seem to rise above the fray in any way. I did not think the ones I read were particularly valuable insight from an encyclopedic perspective. Some of the other links went to lists of articles - these were not all specifically about the article subject.
A few style issue for future reference: 1) Our "References" sections are only for reliable sources that have actually been used in the development of the article content to verify facts and assertions. Further reading types of links should never be put under this heading. It's better to start a new "External links" section. 2) We strongly discourage more than one external link to a single website. 3) You can link to a Wikipedia article without using the full URL. Instead of typing http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AltAssets type [[AltAssets]] (which shows on the page as AltAssets). Note you can use a "pipe" to have the clickable link look different, i.e. you put the article name first (AltAssets) followed by a pipe - | - and then the label you want to have show up on the page as the clickable link (say, "this firm"). So [[AltAssets|this firm]] would show up as this firm. This type of internal linking is commonly known as a "wikilink".
If you still think one or two of the links are appropriate on some articles I encourage you to suggest them on the talk page of the articles and see if other editors agree. Happy editing. -- SiobhanHansa 12:40, 20 August 2008 (UTC)Reply
