Your account has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia, because it has been identified as an account used for promotion of a company or group, with a username that implies that this has been done by that company or group. See Wikipedia:FAQ/Organization and Wikipedia:Conflict of interest.

This kind of activity is considered spamming and forbidden by policies, and also violates our username policy.

However, if you feel that there has been a mistake in your blocking, please appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|your reason here}} below or email the administrator who blocked you. Your reason should include your response to this issue and a new username you wish to adopt that does not violate our username policy (specifically, understand that accounts are for individuals, not companies or groups, and that your username should reflect this). Please check that your new username has not already been taken by checking this list.

What sort of articles do you intend to edit if you are unblocked? According to our conflict of interest policy, we need to ask you to avoid editing articles about your organization. Additionally, this account should only be controlled by a single person - see WP:NOSHARE. Hersfold (t/a/c) 21:03, 29 January 2009 (UTC)Reply

I'm interested in requesting an article about the organization I work with with, the Consortium of Academic and Research Libraries in Illinois (CARLI)and was trying to draft something to submit for consideration. CARLI is a library consortium similar to OhioLink and Solinet (now Lyrasis) I am not interested in editing other articles simply trying to submit this as an article for creation. THe initial draft of the article is in my User/Sandbox, which needs to be significantly revised. The requested change to my personal name was to be in compliance with the nameing guidelines. I would be the only person using this account. As suggested by Daniel Case via email, is it more appropriate to seek help from the Librarians Project http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:WikiProject_Librarians ? or to revise and submit as an Article for Creation? 128.174.138.72 (talk) 18:54, 15 July 2009 (UTC)Reply
