Speedy deletion nomination of User talk:Reza6767

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on User talk:Reza6767, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Melcous (talk) 12:38, 10 January 2016 (UTC)

I want to make some changes in this page, i belongs to Sirsi and i want to add some pictures and ancient history of this town. kindly help me out! https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Sirsi,_Uttar_Pradesh&gettingStartedReturn=true#%25252Fmedia%25252FFile%25253AShrine_of_Hazrat_Makhdoom_Shah_Jamaluddin_Zaidi.jpeg

Reverted edit to Pi (film)

Afternoon :) I wanted to ask why you thought my edit should be reverted (It was my first Wiki contribution so I'm not surprised I managed to do something wrong).

I made the edit because the film recently appeared on my Netflix radar. That particular mistake dominates my memory of watching it, even nearly twenty years later. The director spends over an hour crafting a marvellously believable and harrowing portrait of a tormented mathematical genius tearing down the veil of reality, only to throw it all away ten minutes from the end by having him say something that would ring false to anyone with the slightest interest or knowledge of mathematics. It is as though, at the end of "Field of Dreams", Kevin Costner suddenly grabbed the baseball and ran with it to score a touchdown. The illusion of him being a deeply invested baseball fan - the illusion of him knowing the first thing about baseball - would be shattered, yes?

Perhaps the 'Notes' section would be a better place for a comment? I certainly think, if this is worth noting:

"The film's title sequence shows the Greek letter π, followed by hundreds of lines of numbers representing the numerical value of the constant. However, the numbers are not accurate past the first eight decimal places."

then the fact that a critical plot twist in a film about mathematics is wrong by over two hundred orders of magnitude bears pointing out :)

Funlittlegames (talk) 15:51, 10 January 2016 (UTC)

Because that's original research. It's not necessary to point out that the film is incorrect somehow. --Soetermans. T / C 20:41, 10 January 2016 (UTC)

Ah, I was thrown off by the fact that the existing notes already DO point out that the film is incorrect somehow, without providing a source.

Would this count as a source?

[1]

As you can see from the number of people who've tagged it as interesting, I haven't just added that myself :)

Funlittlegames (talk) 10:22, 11 January 2016 (UTC)

Hi @Funlittlegames:, IMDb is not considered a reliable source, because trivia like that is user added, so we can't check if that's actually true or not. --Soetermans. T / C 15:09, 11 January 2016 (UTC)

References

Fair enough about the 'user-added' thing. Here's what I'm still struggling with though: from the page about Original Research:

"For example: the statement "the capital of France is Paris" needs no source, because no one is likely to object to it and we know that sources exist for it. The statement is attributable, even if not attributed."

If the film claimed that 2+2=5, and I were to note that in fact 2+2=4, that would fall under the 'attributable, no objections' caveat, yes? So at what point does simple mathematics fail to qualify?

The current population of the planet is attributable. The estimated time it takes to count to a million is attributable. Verifying the impossibility of the Jews having enunciated every 200+ digit number in the last couple of thousand years is scarcely more difficult than typing 2+2= into a calculator.

On the other hand I am enjoying the irony of being told I cannot note that a film made a trivial mathematical error because the error wasn't sufficiently trivial.

My Friend, Please

Because QANTAS is an acronym for the airlines complete name, capitals should be used.

Susan Weber (disambiguation)

Please note that disambiguation pages should not be tagged as "stub" and don't need categories. (They also don't need tagged as "orphan", as they all ought to be orphans). This was obviously a disambiguation page, from its title, but the same applies to disambiguation pages which don't have "(disambiguation)" in their title - these can be recognised by starting with "xxx may refer to:" or similar wording. There's a lot to learn about editing Wikipedia but it's an interesting journey - Happy Editing. PamD 21:31, 11 January 2016 (UTC)

PamD, Ok I don't tag stub and categories in disambiguation page. Thanks CAPTAIN RAJU () 21:36, 11 January 2016 (UTC)

Hello

Hello Mr. Raju,

Hope you're doing amazing. I'm Hassan, manager of Aleem Zafar. Would like to get some help directly from you on how we can maintain Aleem's article on Wikipedia instead of it getting deleted. Your kind help would be appreciated. Just for info Aleem is the PR of Ali Zafar & he is quiet famous in the industry. He has a huge name to himself & is also working on his film along with some international brand collabs. Aleem can be easily googled, even twitter has a separate box for him on google.

Would be really expecting you to help me out & support me in this issue.

Comment on the deleting of the editing

Dear CAPTAIN RAJU, The editing is extremely neсessary because even the name of the enterprise was wrong. The editing is officially approved by the management of Lavochkin Association. All parts of the article must be edited. It will surely improve Wikipedia. I ask you please wait for the final vercion of the editing. Thank you.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Expolaspace (talkcontribs)

You really need to address the concerns raised about a possible conflict of interest. [1] [2] Detailed information is available at WP:COI. As for waiting for the final version, it's good practice to use a sandbox or a text editor on your computer to complete a draft before posting. Then, it can be proposed on the talk page of the article. Willondon (talk) 11:55, 12 January 2016 (UTC)

Ruth Brown edit

Ruth Brown's birthday is Jan 12, 1928 not Jan 30, 1928 http://www.biography.com/people/ruth-brown-17172326 I could also go by the cemetery as it is not far to check the tombstone.

Children's Crusade

This isn't a complaint, but I just thought you'd like to know. At Children's Crusade you reverted the latest vandalistic edit but left alone the immediately preceding edit, which had taken out almost a whole paragraph. It's OK, I've put it back now. Andrew Dalby 18:32, 12 January 2016 (UTC)

What did you think was not constructive? I am a founder of The clergy project and I changed something that was not accurate.

I'd also like instruction on how to add my photo.

Thanks,

What changes did you delete and why?

Hello -- I got your message yesterday and left a message, but did not get a reply. Could you explain why my changes on the clergy project page https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Clergy_Project were deleted? How it was determined that they were "not constructive"? I am a founder of The Clergy Project and am more aware of the facts than whoever wrote this page. How can I demonstrate that to you?

I made my first contribution to Wikipedia and got a curt message back from you. Are you some sort of all-knowing policeman who is the arbiter of all that is wise and helpful? If so, and if you stand by your assertion that my recent addition to Marina Oswald was not "constructive," I am glad I found out now how this works and will delete myself as a contributor to Wikipedia since it appears to be a waste of my valuable time.Carrollguy (talk) 21:24, 13 January 2016 (UTC)

Dear Raju,

can you please explain how you judge that editing of User "Tahir Algillani" on subject page is come under vandalism. I would like to confirm you that Tahir Algillani user is belong to Algillani Family who has as full name "Alsyed Tahir Hussamuddin Algillani" for reference you can see page under "Children tab" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tahir_Allauddin_Al-Qadri_Al-Gillani

However, the official website of Pir Alsyed Tahir Alauddin Algillani belongs to "www.algillani.com" not "yamurshid.com" we have the copyright of this website and have to edit information on wikipedia page "https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tahir_Allauddin_Al-Qadri_Al-Gillani"

Therefore we required the same updated information that user "Tahir Algillani" have been edited. please let us know what type of confirmation you required as evidence so you may undo changes.

Thanks for your kind support.

changes to TippingPoint page

Hi CAPTAIN RAJU,

Thanks for your note. I had made date changes in the history section to the TippingPoint page because the ones that are on the page now are incorrect and I deleted the first instance of Trend Micro because the deal hasn't closed yet. TippingPoint's parent is still Hewlett Packard Enterprise until the Trend Micro deal closes.

Should I go ahead and adjust again in the sandbox first?

Thanks! ElisaLip — Preceding unsigned comment added by ElisaLip (talkcontribs) 22:02, 14 January 2016 (UTC)

Revision

You reverted a very simple language correction on this page.

"Forbad" is not a word. Whoever wrote it quite obviously meant "forbade."

Wiki on East Trenton, New Jersey

Hello Raju, thanks for contacting me on this. I only edited to comment out most of the article because there was a lot of text and claims made without a single source. Anywhere at all! I have left a message on the relevant talk page for someone with better references to put in content once they find it, but at the moment, the page is, realistically, nonsense. Thanks for understanding! Ramthecowy (talk) 11:43, 17 January 2016 (UTC)

Hi Captain Raju. I could not find the settlement called Mankri on Google maps, but could find a settlement called Makri. Do you know which is correct? If so can you either notify google maps or make changes to the Wikipedia page.

date and age invalid

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mavie_Marcos Born 29 April 1978 (age 36)

The year is 2016 and if you subtract 1978 you get an age of 38, not age 36. This is a 2 year variance not a single year variance. I do not know the correct age but I do know the date and age can not be a variance of 2 years. Let me know if I am wrong but I think I am right.

I don't know if you noticed this, but the "Discography" part on Rollins Band's Wikipedia is next to the "Band Members" part. It doesn't look good and it should be under it. That's what I wanted to do. I hope that you'll read my message and make the changes.
