The article is also teetering very close to being an advertisement for the firm, which is not allowed on Wikipedia. While there are many references given, the majority are from Crawford's own web site, which is considered a primary source and not given as much credibility a an independent, reliable source. As it stands now, the article must be written in a less promotional tone, or it will face the article for deletion process. - Realkyhick (Talk to me) 22:27, 11 February 2008 (UTC)

Help Me!

I created the article Crawford Architects and have had a couple of issues. First, I would like to know how to create an article and not make it be a conflict of interest. I've noticed other business have artciles on Wikipedia, and wanted to create an article for Crawford Architects as well. Could someone explain how they were created without being a conflict of interest? This is my first artcile on Wikipedia, and I'm so confused!

Secondly, I would like to know how to edit the Crawford Architect article to make it sound like less of an advertisement. I tried basing the article off of other businesses, trying to make it all factual, yet it was still tagged as sounding like a news release or article. I tried gathering as many references as possible, including some newspaper and magazine articles which have been posted on Crawford Architect's website, but are no longer available on the newspaper and magazines website archives. I tried very little to use Crawford Architect's own project descriptions, but I have seen similar links on other articles, namely BNIM. (I'm not trying to tattle on anyone, I'm just trying to figure this all out!)

Hi there! A Conflict of interest occurs when an article is created or edited by a user who is closely related to the subject of the article. Unfortunately, it is impossible to avoid a conflict of interest in your case. The articles on businesses that you have seen were written, created, or contributed to by users who were not directly related to the article. You might also be interested in reading about Notability. My suggestion would be to leave these tags on the article (except the {{underconstruction}}) and let another user who is unrelated to this company come by and edit it. I hope this has helped!
