Helpful edits at Laura Secord

edit

Thanks for your helpful edits at Laura Secord. One recurring issue, though, is your repeated adding of the fact that Dominique Ducharme made no mention of Secord. This is interesting, and would be worthy of including in the article if an independent source talked about it. On Wikipedia, it is forbidden to conduct original research; we compend only infomation that is available from reliable, secondary sources. This means that reading the account he did write, and noting yourself that he did not mention Secord, is not allowed as per Wikipedia's policies.

Fortunately, I do notice that Green 2013 makes mention of this on page 7 of his article; he appears to be a reliable source as per Wikipedia's policies. I've thus re-cited this information to him, as well as the stuff about John Norton (on page 6).

Also, please note that the Laura Secord article will be on the Main Page on June 23; this will make the article highly visible, so we'll have to be careful with formatting and organization issues in the article. It might be best to save substantial edits until a few days after then.

I look forward to your future contributions. Curly Turkey (gobble) 01:17, 6 June 2013 (UTC)Reply
