Glasfabrik Lamberts moved to draftspace

edit

An article you recently created, Glasfabrik Lamberts, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Additionally as you were paid to do this you must go through AFC. Praxidicae (talk) 18:40, 12 December 2019 (UTC)Reply

Okay, I'll try to gather more sources. But what is AFC? C3tirschenreuth 19:01, 12 December 2019 (UTC)Reply

There have been two problems with this account: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business or other organisation or group or a web site, which is also against policy, as an account must be for just one person. Because of those problems, the account has been blocked indefinitely from editing. Additionally, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for your contributions to Wikipedia, you must disclose who is paying you to edit.

If you intend to make useful contributions about some topic other than your business or organisation, you may request an unblock. To do so, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:CentralAuth to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy. Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In that reason, you must:

  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block. To do so, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page, replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason for thinking that the block was an error, and publish the page. Request reason:

I understand the reason for the block. The article submitted was not intended to be commercial as it's a historically relevant factory in Germany and Europe – regardless of the company paying me for the article in question. Also, according to WIKIPEDIA guidelines, I have disclosed the receipt of monetary benefit on my userpage. I ask that my account be unlocked so I can continue to make useful contributions to other WIKIPEDIA articles. Thanks.

Wikipedia articles must summarize what independent reliable sources state about article subjects, and little if any content should be based on what the subject says about itself(such as its own website). The Draft:Glasfabrik Lamberts draft is only sourced to its own website. It is usually very difficult for people in your position to write a proper Wikipedia article. Please review conflict of interest(or this plain language explanation of it) and explain how your future edits will comply with that policy, and please tell what subjects unrelated to your conflict of interest you will edit about. 331dot (talk) 21:30, 12 December 2019 (UTC)Reply

Thank you, I have read and understood both articles suggested. I have been transparent about my "conflict of interest" as I have disclosed on my userpage that I'm a paid editor for that specific article on the Glasfabrik Lamberts. Other edits I have done so far (and plan to do in the future) were not paid for. In the future I won't edit articles on topics I'm affiliated with. I'm hoping you'll unblock my account so I can continue to contribute according to the WIKIPEDIA guidelines/terms of use. I will gather and provide the independent sources that will prove that the facts mentioned in the Glasfabrik Lamberts article are indeed facts. Should there are be any changes to that article in the future, I will not edit the live article but suggest it, as explained here. -- C3tirschenreuth 9:55, 13 December 2019 (UTC)

Thank you, C3tirschenreuth. I do understand that our rules here are rather different to those on de.wp, and that you may not have been fully aware of that; I also saw your (quite correct) paid editor disclosure. It's not clear to me from the above whether you do or do not intend to make further edits to the Glasfabrik page. Otherwise, what article(s) might you usefully contribute to? Also, would you be prepared to remove the business advertisement from your user-page? – that isn't appropriate here. To any admin reading this: subject to satisfactory answers to those questions, I've no objection to this account being unblocked once it's been renamed. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 18:47, 13 December 2019 (UTC)Reply
I would like to make edits on the original Glasfabrik page to add the missing sources as soon as I have gathered them. Articles I might contribute to are articles on places and/or people based in Bavaria and the Upper Palatinate. For example, I plan to extend the article on my hometown Tirschenreuth. I will, of course, remove the business advertisement from my userpage as soon as my account is unblocked. Those contact informations were not ment to be promotional. I'm sorry for that. I thought it's important to fully disclose all contact info... -- C3tirschenreuth 12:17, 16 December 2019 (UTC)Reply
I have accepted your statement and unblocked you, C3tirschenreuth. Please request your new user name as soon as posislbe, and remove the ad from your user page right away. DES (talk)DESiegel Contribs 01:04, 20 December 2019 (UTC)Reply
Thank you! I have now deleted the contact info on my user page and have requested to be renamed. -- C3tirschenreuth 08:29, 20 December 2019 (UTC)Reply
