Brian Davis is an AMS Certified meteorologist for WMTY-TV in Russellville, Alabama. Brian attended the University of Tennessee to receive his degree in Studies of Meteorology in 2008. While at WMTY-TV, Brian organized a group of storm spotters that have been accredited with saving lives in an area that is frequently considered out of range of radar and out of site by many residents. He has worked for TV and radio stations in Alabama, Tennessee and Mississippi. Brian also completed the broadcast meteorology program at Mississippi State University with advanced standing. A full member of the American Meteorological Society (AMS) and the National Weather Association (NWA) Brian Presley Davis is on of only around 23 meteorologists nationwide that still holds a current Seal of Approval from the AMS in radio weather meteorology. He also holds a radio seal from the NWA. In early 2010, Brian was accredited with developing a local website WMTY Weatherpage that has been a valuable source of weather warnings and coordination for local residents, storm spotters, and authorities in the northwest Alabama area.
