Edit War on Afghanistan Wikileaks

edit

I don't want to get into an edit war, so I won't undo your reversion right away. However, I don't see why you should automatically have the article your way.

There is an active and on-going discussion which you are part of. At the very least, your removal of that content is premature. ButOnMethItIs (talk) 16:50, 26 July 2010 (UTC)Reply
Leaving it without the offending link is a better default position.128.118.147.160 (talk) 17:03, 26 July 2010 (UTC)Reply
No, it's not. The link adds value to the article and you haven't presented a single policy-based reason why the link should be removed. ButOnMethItIs (talk) 17:05, 26 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

Stalker Film

edit

Good day sir. Sorry but I don't understand why my information improvement into the Stalker Film wiki page has been considered as Vandalism. I've just added information about a possible Stalker film based on the game (which has components from the film) and about a nice project which will be able to be watched in English too... I've even add references and links to prove the information veracity. Can you please reconsider your decision and undo the edition?

As for the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Games, STALKERHispano is a Spanish Community checked world wide, so I bet yes, it's an very important link even for an English user (we often translate some exclusives news or interviews into English).

Anyway, if I'm wrong (I've studied English but of course I can't understand it as a native), good job ;)

Good Day! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.33.144.177 (talk) 21:37, 5 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

Sorry, I saw the name "Uwe Boll" in the most recent edit and I hit the vandalism rollback button. I should have looked more carefully and used the regular rollback button. But STALKERHispano is not a reliable source of information and we don't usually link to fansites (#11). Also, nothing you posted was related to the 1979 Stalker film. If you find reliable sources for a future S.T.A.L.K.E.R. film, please see about adding the information to S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl#Legacy. Dade: I see, thanks you for your time! About a STALKER film, google 'Monolith's Whisper'. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.33.144.177 (talk) 14:35, 6 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

Re: List of video games notable for negative reception

Why do you consider it original research? ViperSnake151  Talk  14:59, 26 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

The rationale is laid out on that article's talk page. The OR template now points to the section. ButOnMethItIs (talk) 15:02, 26 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

Assessing redirects (WPVG)

Just a quick note to remind that WPVG doesn't assess redirects. I've fixed up this edit. :) Salvidrim! 14:11, 16 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

Thanks

edit

For two things really. First of all thank you very much for the attention you've been giving to the sources-related discussion at WT:VG/S. I notice you're targeting the ones that haven't yet been discussed this go-around so you're really helping where it's needed. Thanks very much for that. The other thing I wanted to say thanks for is in sourcing the SF-1 SNES TV and the C1 NES TV articles with that recent Plunkett review on Kotaku. I'd been hunting for a ref for the magazine screenshot tidbit for quite a while now. So thanks for finally getting it squared away. Cheers, -Thibbs (talk) 22:12, 16 April 2012 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, talk pages are meant to be a record of a discussion; deleting or editing legitimate comments, as you did at Wikipedia:Templates for discussion/Log/2012 May 23, is considered bad practice, even if you meant it well. Even making spelling and grammatical corrections in others' comments is generally frowned upon, as it tends to irritate the users whose comments you are correcting. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. C3F2k (Questions, comments, complaints?) 14:34, 23 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

Sorry. I don't know what I was thinking there. ButOnMethItIs (talk) 14:43, 23 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

Please do not delete or edit legitimate talk page comments, as you did at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Video games. Such edits are disruptive and appear to be vandalism. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. C3F2k (Questions, comments, complaints?) 17:02, 23 May 2012 (UTC)Reply

Video game platform discussion

edit

Hi there! As someone who participated in the "platform" discussion at WikiProject Video games, you are probably well aware of the complexities involved in the issue. Thus far we've discussed quite a few points but haven't come to any firm conclusions. One of the participants has suggested that we hold a !vote. Please share your thoughts on how we should proceed at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Video games#Starting a !vote. If you would like to !vote, one of the participants has already provided several options. Thanks for your help! CaseyPenk (talk) 16:24, 13 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
