Please "hold your fire". What I would appreciate is your observation of the conduct of discussion in this case.

I anticipate there will be multiple opportunities for you to get involved.

It is sometimes wise, for their own sake, to give people enough rope to hang themselves.

You have seen how I have acted in good faith: people challenge Goldberg on patriarchy, so I source material on him.

They challenge him, so I source material on his other books and on Hakim.

Then people attempt to hide via redirects etc, anything that could support Goldberg on patriarchy.

It's only a few people, and they use the technique of shooting the messenger, rather than finding alternative PsOV.

Very unfriendly, very not Wiki.

I have plenty of time, I've recently been published in the US, and I have legal advice for here and there.

I don't want this to blow up in the face of our wonderful project.

When the time is right, helping people to keep things in proportion is what you do best.

Re: Various coats of arms

Hello. I am fairly knowledgeable with heraldry, so if you think of any questions please do not hesitate to ask.

I prefer paintings, but they take much too long to do for articles. I do not like the ununiform clip, art nor do i like the shield being shown while ignoring hte rest of the coat of arms, so i settled making the little paint program drawings. I have posted my invitation at the MM site. It has been there for weeks - with opportunity to comment; and reference to the new language. I keep looking for response. But nothing so far. In addition, I posted the changes to a major "Montessori" discussion list for comment as well. So far, just one favorable reply. I suppose people wait until a definite "action" is taken that gets people's attention that people reply. But I will allow another week before I act "bold" like suggested by the wiki-folk suggest.Havis1 (talk) 15:11, 30 December 2009 (UTC)

First: the MM site (if you mean an external site) and a "Montessori discussion list" do not count, enwiki announcements only count. Second: in the talk page [1] you said "when I have a revised version ready for inspection, I will offer it here for comment", and only 2 days ago announced that you've completed your revamp, so how do you expect anybody to comment before that? Third: nobody is required to go to your user page to build the consensus there.

You can go and be bold if you are sure that nobody will object, but if someone reverted your changes you have to discuss it with them because even merging (which is less controversial than replacing) has to be discussed if someone objected. Sole Soul (talk) 23:51, 30 December 2009 (UTC)
