NPOV edit

Just a reminder that while you may be into trapping and hunting, you have to have to be neutral here. --Caturdayz (talk) 15:27, 24 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

While you may be a vegan and into sabotaging legal hunting and trapping, you have to have a specific example of how I was NOT neutral here. Bugguyak (talk) 02:18, 2 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Duplicate images uploaded edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Aphidlandaphids.jpg. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you uploaded the same image twice: as Image:Aphidlandaphids.jpg and also as Image:Apidolandaphids.jpg. The latter copy of the file has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.

This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and remember exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions about this notice, or feel that the deletion is inappropriate, please contact User:Staecker, who operates the robot account. Staeckerbot 15:16, 21 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Copyright violations edit

It has come to my attention that several of the articles you have recently created are direct copies of material from other websites. Such copyrighted material is not compliant with Wikipedia's GFDL licensing. Please read our copyright policy and related pages before uploading further copyrighted material. --Stemonitis 12:09, 22 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for bringing that to my attention, I have sent you the authors permission. Bugguyak 15:33, 8 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Spinosad edit

Thanks for the message, Bugguyak! I was in the process of cleaning up Category:Agriculture and related subcategories, and I hadn't read the Spinosad article closely enough.

By the way, do you think Category:Phytosanitary should exist, or should it just be merged into Category:Pest control? --Uthbrian (talk) 20:55, 24 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

Good question, Uthbrian. I would keep them seperate since phytosanitary inspections also deals with prohibited organisms and invasive species and the regulatory issues surrounding them. --Bugguyak 23:15, 24 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

License tagging for Image:Conibear trap.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Conibear trap.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Chinese reference on Animal trapping edit

The information is fully cited. It gives the name of the book and the chapter that the material appears in. Ask for someone over at WikiProject China to help verify the information. At least make an effort to look it up before deleting it unnecessarily. --Ghostexorcist (talk) 19:17, 21 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

You are Evil! edit

The comment you left on my page is ready to be deleted because none of your nonsense an convince me that they're bad! The fatal attacks were because people are moving in to puma territory, killing all of their original food. They have to eat and the only thing around is humans! And P.S., hunting IS bad and disrespectful of other creatures. --Pumagirl7 (talk) 16:10, 22 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Coyotes and sheep edit

Hey, I just wanted to thank you for uploading those images of coyotes attacking sheep. They have been really helpful, as there are no images like them I could use in the Domestic sheep article. What url did you find them at? VanTucky 01:05, 23 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

No problem. They are public domain photos available at the National Wildlife Research Centers Image database at: [1]

Speedy deletion of Bracon hebetor edit

A tag has been placed on Bracon hebetor requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must include on the external site the statement "I, (name), am the author of this article, (article name), and I release its content under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, Version 1.2 and later." You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. --Snigbrook (talk) 15:52, 16 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

trapping article edit

Hey, Bugguyak. I'm sure you can find lots of references that use the word harvest for trapped animals which are then killed. However, the reference supporting this section, on which it is based, does NOT use that word and instead uses "killing and taking." I haven't checked the new references that you put up yet, but if they don't support the rest of that ph, they're not really of much use. If this is an issue for you, perhaps the use of terms should be mentioned elsewhere in the article since few people except trappers use the word harvest.Bob98133 (talk) 20:54, 29 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Whoa, I just looked at your references. They will have to go! I'm not sure of the Wiki policy but just sticking in a couple of definition pages doesn't make it. Why didn't you just link to the Wiki page about harvesting? Maybe because it doesn't mention animals? Please revert your most recent edit. Thanks.Bob98133 (talk) 20:59, 29 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Caps edit

By primary authors I mean the people who have edited it the most, the people who brought it to FAC status, the people who defend it against vandalism. The people who have actually worked on it. You can use this tool to determine who has done what editing. Myself, Uther, and Chroniclev have all edited with upper case. Read Yomangani's comments here as they best get to the issue. Given that it doesn't matter, I don't know why you want to crusade on the issue. Pick a tree of life subject and work on it. I won't peer over your shoulder. I won't oppose at FAC if you use lower case. Marskell (talk) 09:34, 7 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Wolf hunting edit

Hi there. I would very much like to know your opinion on the Wolf hunting article I've recently heavily edited. I notice you've paid a lot of attention to the fox hunting article due to it's lack of a NPOV. Some input from you as to whether or not the wolf hunting article is biased etc. would be greatly appreciated.Dark hyena (talk) 09:43, 15 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Electronic Pest Control edit

Ok...NPOV aside, how would one add the findings of the USDA and the U. of Washington and the information in it's findings, without showing a bias? It is a rather interesting scientific fact that should be placed somewhere in the topic area. To not mention it would also show a non-NPOV, yes? (Mjivy99 (talk) 23:19, 20 July 2008 (UTC))Reply

not neutral thing on stalin edit

i have not even stated whether i support the PROC or ROC yet you jump to conclusions. comparing satan to a human being is totally wrong, considering the fact that we do not know satan's personality, whether he is evil, or just the absence of good, just as darkness is the abcense of light, and coldness the absence of heat.ㄏㄨㄤㄉㄧ (talk) 15:28, 14 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

also hitler was christian, and stalin studying to become a priest... apparently he learned some useful things on mass murder learning the bible, you know?ㄏㄨㄤㄉㄧ (talk) 15:31, 14 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

and it is also clear that the killings, mass murder, and genocide that stalin, hitler, and god ordered in the old testament of the bible, were deliberate and intentional, while all deaths resulting from mao were a result of failed economic policy.ㄏㄨㄤㄉㄧ (talk) 15:35, 14 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Speedy delete of Talk:Communism edit

You inappropriately tagged this page for speedy deletion. A speedy deletion would have deleted the whole page and for this reason speedy deletion for copyright violations can only occur when "there is no non-infringing content on either the page itself, or in the history, worth saving", which in tis case there clearly is. Please see WP:CSD for the full criteria. Thank you. Dpmuk (talk) 19:45, 25 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion of File:Snaredredfox.jpg edit

A tag has been placed on File:Snaredredfox.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I10 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a file that is not an image, sound file or video clip [i.e. a Word document or PDF file] that has no encyclopedic use.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on [[ Talk:File:Snaredredfox.jpg|the talk page]] explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. File source problem with File:Snare.jpg edit

Thank you for uploading File:Snare.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
