Overlinking edit

Hi Bugger897, I've trimmed the number of links to the same article that you added to Ctenophorus, as generally one is sufficient for a list of this size - see MOS:DUPLINK. Cheers, Bahudhara (talk) 03:54, 22 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

Your username might cause offence edit

Hi there. I've just left a welcome message and a few useful links on your talk page, above. It's really great to see a new editor creating articles on interesting species, instead of yet another dull but over-hyped football midfielder in a minor league, or whatever!

I did just want to point out to you (in case you weren't aware of it) that your username is liable to be deemed somewhat offensive by other editors, as Bugger is regarded as a sexual/swear word in many English-speaking countries. We do have a username policy which requires all names used here not to cause offence, and I note that you appear to be the only editor this decade to incorporate that word and still be editing today. So, if you wish to avoid any hassles in the future, I would urge you to consider creating a new account with a different username, and simply abandoning this one. Leaving a note to declare the relationship between two accounts is often sensible, as is never using the old one ever again. This is because we do not allow one person to run two active accounts, but declaring a username change is fine, as I've done myself in fact. (Whilst there are ways to request a transfer of edit histories across to a new name, you are so new here that that isn't worth the hassle for an administrator to do that). Whilst I don't think it's an extreme word to use, I just thought I'd raise this with you so you are aware of any future problems that could arise. Any problems, feel free to ask, or to post a question at the Teahouse. Regards from the UK, Nick Moyes (talk) 17:05, 25 May 2018 (UTC)Reply

Change of Username to B_897 edit

This account has been abandoned as it's username may cause offense to some. I shall henceforth be operating under the B_897 username. Bugger897 (talk) 13:39, 28 May 2018 (UTC)Reply
