Proposed deletion of The Duchess (character) edit

The article The Duchess (character) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No references. Poorly formatted. Could be merged into The Duchess of Malfi, in which she is the tragic heroine.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. • Hi! I've moved this to your userspace at User:Bsanchez23/The Duchess (character) so you can work on the article. What you need to do here is to find reliable sources that discuss the character independently of the play itself. A source of this nature would be something like an essay that discusses the character's motivations, personality, and possible meanings - basically sourcing that doesn't just mention her in passing when discussing the play. Most characters don't get this sort of attention, unfortunately, and it may be easier for you to look into merging this into the characters section of the main article for the play.
