For you
Hello, I am writing on behalf of Sunset Station hotel and casino which boasts the IP's of 63.164.47.2, 68.108.86.114 and 68.108.85.137. First off let me apologize for the vandals that repeatedly ruin Wiki's articles. I know who these kids (they're actually in their mid-20's) are but I can't do too much to them when I never know when they take their lunch breaks. these IP's belong to Sunset Station and nearby homes and businesses within a block away. I am writing you about my own personal account that was blocked because of the same ip range and was wondering if you could in any way help me unblock it. I tried to do the Unblock/reasoning thing but i can't even edit my talk page anymore. I spoke briefly to a admin and he was rude and didn't help me out any. So i decided to write you and see what you can do to help. I am in no way trying to "evade" a block or anything, i'm the one that has edited Wiki's articles SERIOUSLY. I notice you are helping in blocking many of the vandals accounts so you're my next hope. my user name is "Those Kids", and if you read my contributions yu can see that it shouldn't have been blocked. It was only blocked because of the same IP addresses. Write to me at "those kids" talkpage and help me out with what I should do. My name is Jeff, I work for Station Casinos. Thank you in advance! Jeff 68.108.85.137 (talk) 06:31, 1 November 2010 (UTC)
- (talk page stalker) Hi Jeff. If you already own an account you should be exempt from these blocks if you log in. If you aren't, if you could please log in and then follow the block message's instructions to place the {{unblock-auto}} message on your talk page, we can guide you through making your account exempt from these restrictions. Hope that helps, Shirik (Questions or Comments?) 06:46, 1 November 2010 (UTC)
- I see that your account was targetted directly by a checkuser. You will want to log in and go to your talk page and use the {{unblock}} template to request a review of the block. Please explain what you've said here there so that an appropriate individual can review your request. Thanks, Shirik (Questions or Comments?) 06:52, 1 November 2010 (UTC)
Hello, I appreciate the help but it's not letting me do ANYTHING. :( Jeff 68.108.85.137 (talk) 08:20, 1 November 2010 (UTC)

Proxy check
I see that you blocked 218.248.29.75 (talk · contribs · WHOIS) that was used by a Use:Ravi22oct sockpuppet an open proxy. I'm not too familiar with the proxy checking going on with Wikipedia, so I was wondering if you can you check out 116.74.112.103 (talk · contribs · WHOIS), too? Same sockpuppet usage. I'm wondering if there are some open proxies involves. See the list of IPs at Category:Suspected Wikipedia sockpuppets of Ravi22oct for all of the IPs that I've tagged. Thanks! -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 03:07, 12 November 2010 (UTC)
- I actually just disabled their user talk access; Zzuuzz did the actual block. See the deleted contributions for that IP. --Bsadowski1 03:52, 12 November 2010 (UTC)
- Bleah. =P I think I regret looking at the deleted contributions. Thanks though. I'll ask Zzuuzz about it. I didn't notice that you had just changed the block. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 04:51, 12 November 2010 (UTC)

"Benthach" idiocy
Holy geez, have I been busy reverting this yahoo's copyvios and sock farm. I protected a couple of potential sock naming variations; can you run a CU on this? --PMDrive1061 (talk) 02:40, 16 November 2010 (UTC)
- I'm not a CheckUser, I just used gusersearch to find that one. I did notice the 3rd one near 6:00 my time. --Bsadowski1 02:42, 16 November 2010 (UTC)

To me that ip seemed more like the Scruffy Vandal than Zsfgseg. His trolling is subtler than Zsfgseg's ("I think Zsfgseg has earned his Ph D in trolling" versus "tHIS iS zSFGeSG PLEASE BLOCK ME FOR ONE YEAR ALSO X ADMIN IS A FAGGOT"). it also seems to be outside Zsfgseg's ranges. Pretty damn sure it's the Scruffy Vandal. Access Denied – talk to me 07:43, 16 November 2010 (UTC)

They are asking how you came to the conclusion that they were a sock based on one edit. It is not clear from the block log who you believe they are or how you identified them so I don't know how to answer their question. Beeblebrox (talk) 02:38, 17 November 2010 (UTC)
- It's a known sockpuppeteer that has over 200 sockpuppets. --Bsadowski1 02:39, 17 November 2010 (UTC)
- That's really not much more of an answer than I already had. If there is a WP:BEANS concern, feel free to email me about it. Beeblebrox (talk) 02:42, 17 November 2010 (UTC)
