Bryan, please don't stray too far from the article's subject, mythological narrative. Your treatment of the Yaxchilan lintel as representative of a specific mythological theme is not supported by most mayanists.77.162.130.139 (talk) 00:35, 13 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

I apologize if it seems I strayed away from the subject matter, I was attempting to include subjects that gave archaeological references. What in particular would you suggest as I move forward in the editing process? Bryan A Morgan (talk) 05:30, 13 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

If you suggest a mythological background to certain archaeological remains, I think you should, in any case, specify and reference the myth concerned. Otherwise, the terms 'myth' and 'mythological' become so terribly vague and hard to distinguish from, for example, 'ritual'. As to your pictures, I believe you should reconsider them, for they don't seem to be very apposite. For example, the Smithsonian ring has hardly anything to do with myth, and the (too large) Dresden Codex page contains only one scene that might possibly be interpreted as 'mythological'. I'll keep in touch.77.162.130.139 (talk) 10:02, 13 March 2012 (UTC)Reply
The calendar section, like the stone calendar ring, is completely out of place.77.162.130.139 (talk) 23:13, 14 March 2012 (UTC)Reply
