Chris Hero

Hi there Brunstar978. I am dropping you a note to explain that I have removed ROH_100.jpg from Chris Hero because it contains an overlay containing the URL details of your photographic company which has no relevance to the article; on Wikipedia this is considered to be advertising. The problem can be remedied easily by uploading a replacement copy of the picture without the overlay box - as you took the photograph in the first place this should be very easy for you to do - which you can then add to the article. Kind regards, nancy (talk) 08:19, 27 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

No, dropping the URL but leaving the name would still be advertising - the image needs to be completely clear of any text not directly relevant to the article - it is OK for it to say something like Chris Hero but not OK for it to say ABC Photography Co.

Hi again, I'm not stalking you, I swear. Thanks for changing your username, sorry for all the hassle. Sorry to continue to be a pain, but there are still copyright problems with the photos. If photos have been published previously online, it is not enough for you to assert that you own the copyright here (please see Wikipedia:Copyright problems#Copyright owners who submitted their own work to Wikipedia. You will need to follow the directions at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials#Granting us permission to copy material already online. Please leave me a note at user talk:delldot if you need any help with this. I'm going to list each of these images at WP:CP, so they'll be deleted in a week if no progess has been made on this. Sorry for the hassle! Peace, Delldot on a public computer (talk) 09:05, 30 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
