Art categories
editHi Brunberg,
Welcome to the Wiki, and thanks for your input on arts categories - there are not so many people working on art related articles, so there is plenty to be done.
I've added a response to your comments on Talk:Tracey Emin, which are hopefully helpful. Don't worry about User:Pigsonthewing/Andy Mabbett - he doesn't seem to be around much any more and has had a rather chequered history of being over-inclusionist in the early days of categorisation (~July this year?). He previously got into some flame wars over putting Adolf Hitler into Category:Painters plus several other marginal amateur painters. He also had a tendancy to put any article, even vaguely related to the city of Birmingham (notably Lord of the Rings), into Category:Birmingham and its related sub-categories.
Much of the general structural discussion for the art categories is at Category Talk:Art. You might also want to talk to User:Pethan who has done a lot of good work on categorising arts articles. And User:Clubmarx has shown some interest recently too.
If you have any general questions, just drop me a line on my talk page and I will try to help. -- Solipsist 21:07, 5 Dec 2004 (UTC)
Hi Solipsist, and thanks for your helpful info. It takes a while to understand the structure but I'm learning slowly. Wikipedia is a truly inspiring project, I must say. Brunberg 00:03, 6 Dec 2004 (UTC)
