Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:John Moore House Sparta.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI 23:58, 1 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Dear STBotI: Could you or someone else please tell me exactly what is missing. I think it is all there. Thanks.

Where from? edit

Where did you get the text you have posted for the Elias Moore article? Was it from a former Wiki article of a different name? Moriori 06:21, 13 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

No. There was no page on Elias Moore. If you look at my references, you will see that most of the info is sourced from old books that I own or websites that I have found. Thanks for checking up. — Preceding unsigned comment added by User:Broadcastinglive (talkcontribs)
OK. If looked like a cut/paste, but no probs. I have tweaked it to make it more WIKI encyclopedic, and if you look at the edit changes history you can see where I made various changes. Note I added your signature to your message above. You can leave your signature on talk pages by typing four tildes. Cheers. Moriori 01:05, 14 October 2007 (UTC)Reply
Also, the message left at the top of this page was placed by a bot. I have asked User:ST47 to respond to your question, as he is the guy who runs the bot. I confess I am also unsure where your image doesn't comply, so I look forward to the answer as well. Moriori 01:16, 14 October 2007 (UTC)Reply
There's no longer a problem with the image, as it is now compliant with the policy. At the time of the message, it was on Wikipedia. rather than Commons, and was missing a license tag. --uǝʌǝsʎʇɹnoɟʇs 11:40, 14 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Elias Moore edit

I take it you brought the birth and death dates up and used the names of the months. I don't mind that too much, but any Quaker would know that the minutes book from which the death date was obtained would not have used the names of the months, because Quakers don't use the "pagan" names for days and months. Broadcastinglive 17:13, 14 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Nope. Check the history of the Elias Moore to see who used the pagan dates. Alansohn 19:29, 14 October 2007 (UTC)Reply
It was I. Wiki style. Moriori 22:49, 14 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

All good. Thanks for tweaking things. Broadcastinglive 01:33, 15 October 2007 (UTC)Reply
