File:Thahles 06 christine corday 72x216in.jpg

edit

Also with File:Thahles 06 christine corday 72x216in.jpg, in one place it says GFDL and in other place "only for Wikipedia" also it looks like another person painted this rather then yourself, in which case more proof is need that it is published under GFDL. Is the picture available on the internet somewhere? Can you provide a link to it and the license? Graeme Bartlett (talk) 21:33, 27 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

And File:CORDAY UNE NYCHighline.jpg needs proof that Tim WIllis and Christine Corday relaese this work under CC-BY-SA license, it seems that you have managed this for the earlier picture with OTRS! Graeme Bartlett (talk) 21:43, 27 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

For File:Thahles 06 christine corday 72x216in.jpg, I will recover it for you, and remove the "only for Wikipedia" text. please edit the license to say what the artist wants. If the email to Wikipedia covered all the pictures then we can put in the ticket id. Is that the case? Another way to prove the license is if the picture is online on the artist's web site is for that web site to announce the license for it with the picture. (the picture with the OTRS ticket number was the one by Tim Willis). Graeme Bartlett (talk) 22:39, 4 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
Can you get a repeat that OTRS ticket email for File:Thahles 06 christine corday 72x216in.jpg ? Cut and paste into olicense can be useful, but does not prove beyond doubt who actually said it (apart from you). Graeme Bartlett (talk) 21:29, 5 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

License tagging for File:20100912161340-christine corday ahn 3952s.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:20100912161340-christine corday ahn 3952s.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 15:09, 8 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

File permission problem with File:20110218155513-christine corday aepi 4658 4b.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:20110218155513-christine corday aepi 4658 4b.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Cloudbound (talk) 17:33, 21 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

Non-free rationale for File:Christine corday protoist series selected forms LACMA director michael govan.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Christine corday protoist series selected forms LACMA director michael govan.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Speedy deletion nomination of File:Christine corday protoist series lacma.jpg

edit

A tag has been placed on File:Christine corday protoist series lacma.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Majora (talk) 21:16, 5 January 2018 (UTC)Reply

To editors Please delete this image and its nomination. An alternate image will be sourced with free license or public domain copyright for the purposes of updating this wikipedia page. Brieanne 821
