Hi Brian, Leahtwosaints is having some health issues which make it difficult for her to be active here. I am an editor both here and on Commons and if I can be of assistance, please feel free to let me know on my talk page here (or on Commons, I will cross-post this there next). Thanks for sharing your great photos! Ruhrfisch ><>°° 11:22, 7 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

Joe Williams (jazz singer) edit

A page you previously contributed to, Joe Williams (jazz singer), had many prior revisions deleted due to copyright issues. For details please see Talk:Joe Williams (jazz singer). Your prior version may be temporarily restored upon request if you need it for reference to re-incorporate constructive edits that do not make use of the copyright infringing material. Please feel free to leave me a talk message if you need this done. Happy editing, — xaosflux Talk 22:29, 29 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

In article photo credits edit

Generally, they're not allowed. See Wikipedia:Manual_of_Style/Captions#Credits. That being said, It's possible that your work rises to the level of making an exception. I have no idea. Anyway, I started a discussion about it here. - Richfife (talk) 16:07, 30 August 2015 (UTC)Reply

Brianmcmillen, your photos are a great asset, but Wikipedia contributors aren't credited within articles, beyond the attribution in article histories and image description pages. I realize this differs from the practice of other "publications", but I hope it won't dissuade you from continuing to contribute. EEng (talk) 03:25, 31 August 2015 (UTC)Reply
  • And, two years later, I noticed you added a photo credit to the Jon Hendricks article. Please stop this. Graham87 02:20, 17 September 2017 (UTC)Reply
Brianmcmillen, you really, really need to stop doing this. You're making work for your fellow editors. Again, your photos are much appreciated, but you can't credit yourself in captions. It's just not what we do. EEng 02:30, 17 September 2017 (UTC)Reply
  • I will not add photo credit to captions henceforth. Sorry to cause problems. Brianmcmillen (talk) 19:14, 17 September 2017 (UTC)Reply
I'll just say once again that your photos are a real asset and we wouldn't want to do anything to discourage your continuing to contribute them. It's just that, in the same way that those contributing text are crediting only via the page's edit history, photo contributors are only credited on the image description page.
