Notes

edit

Hi! I have some notes for the content that you added to the article on the Palm Beach Police Department.

  • Try to be as specific as possible when it comes to things like time and who says what. For example, the phrase "some say" is fairly vague and doesn't tell the people who exactly said what - was it the news? General populace? Other officers?
  • The sourcing needs to be in-line so that people can tell what source backs up what claim. I saw that you placed them at the bottom of the article, however that doesn't let people know what they source. Unsourced content can be challenged and removed, so it's important that you go back and put these sources in-line.
  • The "Efforts To Make A Safer Community" section should be a general awards section. The award isn't an effort to make a safer community per se, as it's an award granted to people who they deem to do this. There's always, of course, some degree of subjectivity to whether or not an effort actually succeeded or not, so it's more accurate and neutral to just title it as an awards section.
  • The history section needs to be written in prose, not list format. There are other parts of the article that read fairly choppy, so it would be good to smooth those out as well.
  • Make sure to doublecheck when proofreading for grammar and spelling errors.

I hope this all helps - let me know if you have any questions on my talk page. Shalor (Wiki Ed) (talk) 19:08, 17 October 2019 (UTC)Reply
