I find when I click on someone's else talk page, I get annoyed having to go back and forth between someone else's talk page to follow a discussion. So on my own talk page, I include my own comments (lifted from whoever's talk page I posted them on) in italics. In case you're just that fascinated in my conversations.

Star Trek/Doctor Who userboxes

Hi - I read your vote on the template deletion page. As far as I can see, the new template allows you to specify which series you are a fan of, so you end up with an identical userbox, and placed in the category for that specific series. Hello Brian. I have noticed the same explanation. However, I am not sure if the proposed solution would allow me to check who else is a fan of, say, the Voyager series which is something I can do now (as there is a special template for each series). The way I see it, the new solution would just let you specify the show on your user page, but we would be all under the same generic Star Trek heading. I may be wrong though. I’m bothered by the wording of the category in which you've placed me above: "They're not (as) militant about it, but, through either unawareness of the unethical tactics by the above group, or quiet acceptance of it, they seem to be allied with the gang." I don’t care for the implication that my opinion is based either on ignorance or on acceptance of unethical tactics. Have you used this wording elsewhere? Putting this on your talk page is one thing, but if you've put it on any page related to the arbitration, I’d like the opportunity to refute it. Thanks. --Brian Olsen 06:18, 14 December 2006 (UTC)

National Shakespeare Conservatory

Hi! As a fellow alum, just wanted to say thanks for creating the page for NSC. I don't seem to have much wikitime lately, but I may dive into it at some point in the near future. Just out of curiosity, where did you get that list of alums? I see myself, but nobody else in my class, so I'm assuming it's not by year... Hi! Thanks for noticing! And please feel free to enter anything you believe noteworthy. That article is a long-term effort. Actually, I got the list simply by doing a Google search for the school's name, which turned up a whole bunch of people mentioning they graduated. I attended the NSC circa 1986-88. My class's fourth-term plays included Twelfth Night (directed by Mario) and The Royal Family (directed by Casey). A little earlier that year Jimmy Tripp directed Macbeth. The year before, I was stage manager for Lisa's The Boyfriend and the year after I ended up stage manager for Cloud Nine. When did you attend? Zahir13 04:45, 18 January 2007 (UTC)

I was there in 94-95 (just one year), right at the end. In fact, the people in my class who stayed were the last graduating class before it was shut down. I think the faculty must have changed quite a bit since you were - Jimmy Tripp is the only person you named who was there when I was, I think. Hello Josiah Rowe and Brian Olsen. I just want to pass along my thanks to you both for different things.

First, many, many thanks Josiah for the Barnstar. It is always nice to be appreciated and getting this from the Doctor Who project will make it a most treasured award.

Second, thanks to you Brian for your note in relation to my posting on the projects discussion page. I am thinking about taking you up on your offer of joining the project but I have a couple of questions/concerns for you both.

1. As a wikignome I enjoy flitting all over wikipedia helping where I can. If this leaves me unavailable to focus on Doctor Who work is that okay.
2. I am not very computer literate so there may be things like templates that I can't be helpful with.
3. I am afraid that when I get into some of the policy pages my eyes glaze and my brain fills with cotton candy (for example if I had just looked at the main page for the DW project my question would have been answered about the style guidelines for the individual serials pages). I guess what I am driving at is that if I am doing anything out of line I will be looking for help in getting it right.

My participation certainly varies depending on real life (or if some other area of Wikipedia takes my focus for a while), and I also have little to no knowledge of templates (I can just about use them, but I certainly can't fix them). The Master - Doctor Who

Hi. I recently edited the episodes of Doctor Who that The Master has been in. I included "The Mind Robber" as the Master does appear there! What did you mean by the Master appears but it's not the Master? In all five episodes, Emrys Jones is noted as being the Master. Are there two different Masters? Hi! Yes, there are two different Masters - the Master from The Mind Robber is more commonly referred to as "The Master of the Land of Fiction." They shortened it to "The Master" in the credits because, at the time, the real Master - the Time Lord Master - hadn't been introduced yet, so there wouldn't have been any confusion. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:

1. Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. The Meddling Monk - Doctor Who

Reverting an edit, you wrote: Is there a reference for this? I believe "Mister Saxon" was chosen because it's an anagram of "Master No. Six", not a reference to the Monk -- In an interview in the Radio Times, Russell T. Davies has said that the anagram was coincidence. He has not actually said that "Harold Saxon" is a shoutout to the "Monk == Master" theory, but it seems to me obviously true.67.103.36.85 05:41, 4 August 2007 (UTC)

That may be true about the anagram, but still, your theory about Saxon being a reference to the Monk is original research, unless you've got a third-party source for it. --Brian Olsen 17:13, 4 August 2007 (UTC)
