Article titles edit

Once your draft is approved the reviewing editor will change the title, most likely to James Fortune (photographer). And if people type "Jame Fortune" in their search and are in the wrong place, each article will have a header directing people to the other article. David notMD (talk) 20:16, 8 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

David notMD, I went ahead and renamed it to Draft:James Fortune (photographer) AngusWOOF (barksniff) 20:54, 13 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Okay here are the references to articles about him these are in the actual wiki page but there is a lot: "Right place right time with a lens on life, he caught splits seconds of rock history" by Pete Humes, Richmond Times-Dispatch Staff Writer August 21, 2005. -I confirmed this doing a search for the article on the Richmond time dispatch website but the article is behind a paywall.

"Hard Rock Meets High Rez" by Jeff Kent. PEI Magazine, March 2001 - this is or was a very well known magazine. They seem to sadly gone away, here is one on amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Photo-Electronic-Imaging-Magazine-July/dp/B009LUFJZG but its not the March 2001 issue. I have a photograph of the article/magazine it was real and his photograph was on the cover because he was the cover story for that issue but it sadly is hard to find online/digital because of the age.

A large show he did with Sotheby's which is a huge name in art/auctions/photography: http://www.sothebys.com/en/auctions/2014/rock-style-tommy-hilfiger-jeffrey-deitch-ls1504.html his name is on the page.

Here is another news article about his shows: https://www.washingtonpost.com/archive/lifestyle/2005/10/28/rocking-out-in-georgetown/b1b50eba-8903-4698-b33c-e2ea62799d27/

More on James Fortune edit

I copied the sources you had listed above to Draft talk:James Fortune (photographer). Here on your user talk page no one working on the draft would have been likely to see them.

Please understand that links to amazon pages where one of his photos is displayed, but there is no credit line showing that they are his work, is of no value. On the other hand cited sources do not need to be online. You can add content to the draft and cite it to a printed source such as the PEI article even though it is not online. (If you don't feel up to writing it yourself, but have the article scanned, you can send a copy to me through email, using the "email this user" feature from my user page.) Note the "Critical response" section I added to the draft. This is how reviews or critical comments about his work can be added to the draft. The Washington Post article was good. Any similar articles would be helpful.

Please feel free to ping me here3 with any further questions about this. DES (talk)DESiegel Contribs 19:36, 11 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

Thank you!!! edit

Thank you I emailed you but it can't allow image attachments via wikipedia email messaging. I am testing a User:DESiegel to see if I can ping people properly :) - User:Brandyfortune
