Welcome / Rasmussen Reports

Hi Brandagent, welcome to Wikipedia! Are you in any way affiliated or connected with Rasmussen Reports or Scott Rasmussen? If that is the case, please note our Conflict of interest guidelines and be aware that Wikipedia is not a free advertising space or a PR tool, have a look at Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations (especially the section "May I advertise my organization or its campaigns, products, services or leading individuals on Wikipedia?"). And who are you? I am piqued by the company because it's been so heavily covered in the media. And the entry, even with the recent edits, certainly does not read like a press release. Much more criticism than praise. A company's viewpoint would be much more flattering.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Brandagent (talkcontribs) 15:47, 24 February 2011
So is your response to the question yes or no? In reply to your own question: I am not in any way affiliated or connected with Rasmussen Reports or Scott Rasmussen; further details are not relevant (and I didn't ask them of you either).
I wasn't referring to the entry as a whole, but to your recent additions and deletions favoring the company, which have already met objections by other users on the article's talk page.

I am very surprised that my objectivity is being questioned...my questioning of your background was to see if you were with wiki or some other media source (and therefore an objective source too!!). I see a lot of back and forth about changes to this and other site entries. Who ultimately decides what stays and what goes? I'm really interested in this whole process as I am tracking corporate branding and how it carries through or becomes distorted for companies in the internet age. It's been fascinating watching what happens once certain brands hit wiki. And once changes are made! My question is how does the majority of accurate information get posted, or how do site entries get started, if the people who are most closely associated with, and presumably most knowledgeable about, the companies and individuals are considered a conflict and disregarded if they post? There are a lot of entities featured on wiki...is it all really independent research and contributions? Or are you part of a staff that oversees all of these entries?
