August 2017 edit

Hello, I'm Steve Quinn. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions have been undone because they appeared to be promotional. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted; Wikipedia articles should be written objectively, using independent sources, and from a neutral perspective. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. Steve Quinn (talk) 04:24, 27 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Dallas Makerspace edit

Hello BrainDozer,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Dallas Makerspace for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

August 2017 edit

Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to Makerspace. While objective prose about beliefs, organisations, people, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not intended to be a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. This is the second time I will have to revert this back to a redirect. I previously stated clearly that this appears to be an effort to use Wikipedia for advertising and'or promotional purposes. The relevant policy page is WP:PROMO. if this is reverted again by you this could also be construed as disruptive editing per WP:DE.

Both activities, using Wikipedia to promote a company or disruptive editing, may lead to your account being blocked. I am guessing you would rather not have this happen. If you wish to confer please feel free to contact me on my talk page, or ping me on your talk page. Thank you. ---Steve Quinn (talk) 21:29, 28 August 2017 (UTC) Steve Quinn (talk) 21:29, 28 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Makerspace. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been reverted.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continual disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. I also want to let you know that you are venturing into WP:EDITWAR territory and according to this policy "Editors who engage in edit warring are liable to be blocked from editing to prevent further disruption." Please stop reverting this back to a redirect as did by reverting User:Elliot321 recently and reverting me before that. Please feel free to contact me anytime. Thank you. ---Steve Quinn (talk) 21:51, 28 August 2017 (UTC) Steve Quinn (talk) 21:51, 28 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

Deletion of {{Persondata}} edit

Hi BrainDozer,

I'm the bot who is deleting {{Persondata}}. I noticed your edit on Dale Dougherty in which you added {{Persondata}}. This template is deprecated and deleted. Please stop adding {{Persondata}}. In case you want to support the Persondata project you can help with the migration of the dataset to Wikidata at KasparBot's tool. See Wikipedia:Persondata or contact my operator T.seppelt in case you have any questions.

Thank you very much, -- KasparBot (talk) 01:00, 29 August 2017 (UTC)Reply
