re Shop.com edit

It appears from Shop.com that I was not the admin that deleted this... Cirt (talk) 16:35, 9 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Most of these seem like press releases or other promo stuff pushed out by the company. Cirt (talk) 18:27, 27 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

SHOP.COM edit

SHOP.COM is an internet price comparison service[1] similar to Shopzilla, Shopping.com, MySimon and Nextag. The site was founded in 1997 as Catalog City[2]. Shoppers can purchase from thousands of merchants[3] [4] and retailers on SHOP.COM or directly from stores such as Zappos.com, J. Crew, Target, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom and Pottery Barn. SHOP.COM runs a shopping blog called "The Shopping Vine"[5].

In 2006, Ken Goldstein joined SHOP.COM as its Chief Executive Officer[6] and Chairman of the Board. Previously, Goldstein served as Executive Vice President and Managing Director of Disney Online, the business unit of the Walt Disney Internet Group. Prior to Disney, Goldstein was at Broderbund Software.

Privately-held, SHOP.COM is based in Monterey, California[7][8] with offices in Los Angeles, California and London. Investors include Bill Gates, Yahoo!, Amazon.com and Oak Investment Partners[9].
